These and the drug addiction threads make me really grateful for my fricked up life.

Unfortunately yes. My FIL reminded me on the holidays last hear how much he hates me. I realize that's nowhere near as bad as what some people have to deal with and I'm thankful for that.

It was a bit of a shock at first because this kind of crap didn't happen in my family growing up.

Was a yearly occurrence growing up. I'd get a double dose usually, thanks to Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Closest thing to a melt at a family event was one Thanksgiving me and my cousin, about 7 or 8, found our paw paw's gun and I asked him about it and he flipped his shite and yelled at us in front of everybody. Totally understandable now.

My immediate family is probably the looked down on ones on both sides, but we're still normal. Everybody else is just super perfect or rich. Have to get into 2nd and 3rd cousins that I don't really know to find any trashy stories in my family. Kind of boring I guess.

I watched my ex-girlfriend's parents almost get a divorce over a game of Monopoly. That's why you never let the woman be the banker. She'll be accused of being "a lying, cheating whore" if I remember correctly. It was fun.

Dude it is much less weird if you just say "my landlord" or "the lady I rent from"

Exactly what I was thinking. I don't think Blizzard is much of a wordsmith.

one christmas, there was an epic meltdown between two uncles and an aunt. aunt cheated on her husband and was with another guy post-divorce, and my uncles LOVED the ex. they got shitfaced and proceeded to destroy her in front of the whole family. it was so epic

Considering I actively try to portray myself as this every year, yes we've had some meltdowns

Not technically family meltdown, but my roommate kicked the shite out of his sister's boyfriend the night before Thanksgiving. The boyfriend was a piece of shite mouthing off about he sister. We had a large dinner at my roommate's parents' house on Thanksgiving. The black eye on the boyfriend was awesome.

My family gets together for Easter weekend, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas. At every occasion my aunt goes crazy on my uncle because he's in the kitchen trying to bake a cake while dinner is being prepared.

Same uncle and his oldest son get into arguments all the time.

Eh, I don't care. It's the OT so I was fully prepared before I posted the topic. If someone wasn't correcting a grammatical error, asking for pics, or condemning it as trashy, the thread would be a failure.

And damn at some of the stories. I see now how some of you bastards recognize trashy so quickly.
