Saw 2 in low level flight last year while driving down the road. Damn near had a wreck looking at them. A majestic bird for sure.

When I was in high school in the late 80’s seeing a bald eagle in the wild was a rare occurrence outside of pay tv or magazines, nowadays however its pretty common place, it seems they have taken over.

I see them now and then while driving pastures checking cattle. The most frequent I have seen them was while we were drilling a well right outside of Cushing OK.

yes, and only recently ...a few months back i was at lake martin taking pictures, and i glanced up and saw a pair of birds flying toward me...as they got closer, i realized they were bald eagles...i had never seen one before in person, and i was so excited that i didn't even remember to try to get photos one of the guys that does boat tours told me that they come every year...

i also wasn't aware until last year that there are nesting pairs in kisatchie national forest...there are nest cams that show live footage from there on youtube...

Used to see one regularly off of I-10 near Bonnie Carrie Spillway.

Yep. Big nest that you can see from the interstate.

You can also see a nest from the levee about 1 mile south of LSU.

Yes. I’ve seen a few in Grant Parish here in Louisiana. Near Iatt Lake if I’m spelling it right. They are majestic, and you can’t help but notice them. They really stand out.

There was a nest near the Morganza Control Structure by Old River for many years. There must have been generations of Bold Eagles born there. From the 1960s up to a few years ago it was visible from Highway 1. I thin the tree finally failed.

Rarest bird I've ever seen was a family of Whooping Cranes on LSUs golf course one morning.

I can hook my boat up this time of year, launch in Amelia, and see 15 - 20 in an hours cruise around Bayou Black. Absolutely stunning sitting on top of a cypress tree in the sun.

February in northern and western Illinois there are some on the Mississippi River as well as where I live on the lakes in far nw suburban Chicago. They look for fish in the open water spots on the ice. Next stop for them will be further north in MN, Wi and NW Ontario come March/April

Yep went quail hunting a few years ago at Shenandoah Plantation which is in union springs, AL right by Auburn. They have a nest and family of them.

Pretty cool to see them in the wild like that.
