It's gotta be difficult going through life feeling the need to classify everything that occurs as either "left-wing" or "right-wing."

That goes for both sides.


For example, with this OP, some people just have mental health issues they don't take care of. I know plenty of people who are republicans that have had family members kill themselves.

Lets be honest. If you know the actual history of Hank Williams Jr's life you know he's only still here because of something bigger than himself.

It's possible he's heard the crap from the last twenty years that passes for country music and that he weren't still here to hear more of it.

In all honesty, there is plenty of evidence that lefties are diagnosed with mental illness at a greater clip and that religious people, conservatives and family-oriented types are less impacted. Plenty of caveats to that but I doubt that strikes any honest person as untrue on a broad level.

Angsty, depressed, bullied, etc. people grow up with stuff to prove, hating their parents, so forth, and can produce pretty good art. They're overwhelmingly liberal as lefty causes appeal to notions of misery, unfairness, so forth. I'm guessing a lot of those people achieve success, fill their lingering emptiness with drugs and the like and ultimately remain depressed and unfulfilled, leading to suicidal ideation.
