All true. I suspect that leads to the cult of victimization they believe in. But the ones he listed, I suspect drugs were the primary driver of mental instability.

I would argue it isn't that it strikes less. It's that they don't typically seek traditionally therapy that would be reported statistically. They typically seek for guidance for those issues with folks who may not seek traditional licensure and instead provide service through the church or other conservative venues instead.

I know that's certainly the consensus in your field. And I don't doubt that it impacts reporting and makes it difficult to take those studies at face value, even if I think they're indicative of a conclusion most of us would also draw from lived experience.

This, people on the left are far more likely to seek diagnosis for mental problems and are also far more likely to receive treatment for it.

This. Church-based "therapy" isn't doing anything worthwhile therapeutically.
It typically just pushes blame on the victim and silences them so that the "community" doesn't know what happens.
I've witnessed this firsthand and it ruins lives.
