ETA: dang it...okay, college sports.
I've watched one college football game in 3 years, and that one was for nostalgia's sake. This is coming from someone that for 25 years made Saturday games an all-day thing. I think I'm pretty much done with college sports.

Musician since high school. Played in local bands. Loved and lived music since way before that. Grew up, got a career and made the mistake of listening to talk radio during the day. Totally fell off all things music.
The good news is that I quit that miserable job after nearly of decade of working somebody else. Started my own business and totally am back into music again. There was so many good bands and albums that I had missed out on. it was very refreshing catching up on everything.
Similar boat to you although I think I may be a little further down the road. I've experienced the same thing, except I think I may be hitting my second creative valley. I wonder if this will be the actual end of this chapter or another rebound is in store.

Revenge and misery. After my parents died, I got into a really dark place emotionally and wanted everyone to feel my pain.
Thankfully, I got out and into the light. God has changed my life into peace and joy.
And did you also join a sewing circle Walt?

College basketball
Huge fan in the 80’s and 90’s
Started watching less in the early 2000’s
Have completely quit watching in the last 10 years.

Politics and sports, those two have been gone for a couple years. I still keep up with both, but what I think doesn’t matter for either one.

Seriously? LSU football.
I used to live and breathe it.
Now, I am fairly ambivalent. Sure, I participate in game threads, but more just to participate than any passion.
Pretty much my sentiments as well except I don't participate in game threads. I'll keep up with the scores, watch the highlights. 'bout it now after 50 years an ardent fan.
The Floyd thing, the Middleton thing, now NIL, piped-in music when I did go to games, the Admin's prioritizing something other than the rank-n-file Tiger fan all take their toll.

Mardi gras for sure.
I only do 1 or 2 parades a year if that.

Major League Baseball
From the time I was about ten through my college years I breathed, ate, and shite baseball. I knew it’s history like the back of my hand and could spit out stats until the cows came home. Staring in the mid 2000’s though MLB just wasn’t as much fun to watch anymore. It seemed like the new crop of players had a different attitude. Then they started pussyfying the game like they’ve done in some other sports. And of course the politics. I also hated all of the new sabermetrics. The whole Zephyrs becoming the Baby Cakes fiasco didn’t help either.
I still love the game, but I just don’t care about the professional game.

golf has been an on and off thing for me for pretty much 40 years. I'll get the bug and go play as much as possible and then just lose interest - this has happened at least 10 times in my life. I think it has to do with starting to take it too seriously. If I start playing tournaments and gambling during rounds I just stop caring.

Golf. Because of time and my back.
Fantasy football. I still do it but it’s just a once a year excuse to see old friends and drink too much.

I'm a 4 hc from the back tees - if I play and practice a LOT - I'm good enough to get people to invite me to be the ringer for them in charity tourneys, but I'll never be good enough to make a cent on the game. Like I said golf is an on and off agin thing - I'm not sure there's another activity in my life that I've started and quit as much as golf.

Chicks. Between Lifetime and masturbation, I don't feel like I'm missing out on much.

I was a muskie fishing guide for close to a decade. I reached a point where it wasn’t fun being on the water for over 100 days a year. By monetizing a hobby I loved it burned me out. Now I look forward to ice fishing more than I did in the past and if the lakes were frozen over 10 months of the year I’d be fine with it.

Basically anything that requires me to go deep into the city and/or be around large groups of people.
Life is better away from major metropolitan areas, even at the sacrifice of more sought after experiences and higher quality everything.

I used to be the Notte Dame head coach but then I got paid $100 million to stand around and stare blankly.

I loved smashing specks at sunset at the barges in Fourchon while smoking the worlds biggest blunt.
Had kids and interest slowed and eventually sold my boat.
I would lock in on football gamedays, now I couldn't care less.
My life and hobbies changed dramatically with kids. Particularly the 2nd. Now my hobbies are my kids and their activities and that's the way I like it.
