My junior year we went up and played Atmore Alabama. That’s when they had Murray Hill.
The score was about 28-13 but that didn’t reflect the true mauling that took place. It was big hit after big hit nearly every play. They were the hitters, we were the victims.
I don’t remember many games but that one is still pretty fresh.

I wasn’t on the team, but our HS boys basketball team was historically bad. From what I remember they went 0-50 at one point. The first win they got my entire time in HS was the middle of my Junior year. They sucked horribly bad.

Yeah she was a good athlete. Also, an excellent softball player. She was class of 95 and I was 96, but we had like 30 kids per grade at that school, so we've met
My baw was messing with her during bball pregame warmup (she was attractive) and she replied “suck my d”.

I don't remember the score, but we lost a JV baseball game like 20 - 0 and got mercy ruled after 5 innings. We only had 7 JV boys and had to get two 8 graders to play with us. Was one of the most embarrassing games I was a part of.

Cohen in HS basketball when they had Greedy Daniels destroyed us.
We had played fairly well against Lester Earl’s Glen Oaks team so expected to play better against Cohen. Greedy probably had 10 steals on our PG.

I've been on the giving and receiving end of this.
Giving - in high school, our football team was up 71-0 at half time on a school. At half, the coaches encouraged us not to score any more touchdowns. We won 81-0 but we could've easily went for 120+. We won state that year.
Receiving - I played collegiate soccer at a DII school. We were on the road against a top 5 school. We went up 2-0 within the first 15 minutes of the game. They had a large bell they would ring after they'd score. After our second score, we ran and rang the bell. We ended up losing 10-2

My drubbing came in practice
Same. Freshman year at my high school in Florida there were twin brothers on the varsity team that both went to play Big 10 football at RB position. They got into a fight one day at practice and one got sent to practice with JV. Problem was freshman was scrimmaging JV that day. I was playing safety. That RB got through the line untouched, accelerated to run me over, and knocked me out cold. I didn't even take my pads off waiting for my dad to pick me up after practice.

8th grade basketball - won 1 game
8th grade football - all losses, 1 tie
Never that close.
We just stunk lol. No super star athlete.

OK thanks. This was MANY years ago. It was ridiculous.

My junior year of high school, we were pretty terrible. We went 2-8, but all of our losses was by 40 points usually. Those aren't really notable to me. We knew we were bad. We didn't expect to win.
My senior year, we were much improved. We started the year off 3-0. Two of the teams we lost to the year before, we won this time around. We had the Game of the week, it was going to be on TV. We had a pep rally that morning with the tv cameras. Our quarterback got in front of the cameras and talked trash about how bad we were going to beat the other team, etc.
We went out there and proceeded to lose 66-7. We only scored 7 in the 4th quarter with our starters against their JV squad. That game did something to us. It utterly broke us as a team. We started out 3-0, and finished 4-6.
They weren't a really great team either. On paper, we were supposed to be evenly matched. I guess they were extra motivated after seeing us talk shite on tv. And our overly-cockiness came to bite us in the arse. I'm still salty about that loss and season as a whole. It turned into such a giant dumpster fire
I did play soccer my senior year of high school. We were a pretty bad team(I was a starter despite that being my first time playing soccer since age 8). We played against the school that won state the year prior. It went about as you'd expected. They were up 12-0 at half-time. We had no delusions about being competitive that game. We were having fun, joking around, while getting our butts smacked. .

High School baseball coach. We lost a game 33-3. The other team had future MLB players Russ Ortiz, an Brad Fullmer. Also a few future D1 players including Keeyan Cook who went to LSU.

I played John Curtis' legion team when I was going into my freshman year of high school, first time I heard a baseball get thrown past me...but I've got the counter to this.
We had an 8 man track and field team my 7th grade year, large public school in Jefferson Parish. We were from the northern part of Metairie and Kenner, so fielding competitive football and track teams was hit or miss, usually a miss. Not 7th grade year. We had two guys, who ended up running CC in high school, win all the distance races. Another guy did all the field events and placed in each, won one or two. Our sprinters had no chance against the westbank schools, but our relay teams were able to score just enough points that we took 2nd at the parish meet.
Felt pretty cool for six white guys and two hispanics to walk in front of huge track teams with guys who would run and play football in HS and college and celebrate a runners-up trophy.
Obviously everything was downhill from there.

played little league baseball and lost 27-0. Coach threw in the towel.

My drubbing came in practice. I was on a team where half the starters went on to play college ball and three made it to the NFL. I was on the scout team and it wasn't pretty. One time in particular I was playing DE. The fullback put a lead block on me and the next thing I know I'm flat on my back looking up at the sky and I can;t see. I thought I was dead for a minute.
To add another practice story. I played college ball at the D2 level. I was best player at my high school. I figured since I went D2 instead of D1 I would also dominate at that level. The very first day of camp I challenged one of the returning starters on the offensive line. Coach tried to move me out of the way, saying this is a 2x all-American, he was out of my league. I pushed coach away, because I was eager to prove myself.
Nope. He absolutely bullied the hell out of me with no difficulty. I refused to give up. The 3rd play I guess he was tired of my shite. So he fricking choke-slammed me. I'm talking both feet left the ground. I was at-least hoping from that whole thing that I would gain respect from the Headcoach for not giving up. But all I got was a "move out the fricking way you fricking illiterate dumbass freshman"

I played rec baseball in Egan for a year and we beat Estherwood 42-2. Ten run rule didn't come into play until 5th inning. Their field didn't even have a fence and the poor kid pitching was just lobbing the balls and our team was hitting home runs like crazy.
Funny story is that while I was a pretty good fielder and was fast, I couldn't hit for shite. I struck out the first at bat while everyone else was having career days. I got my shite together and went 5-6 after. The ONLY 5 hits I got all season
Then Estherwood ended up beating Iota the next game. Iota had all the good players. We thought Iota would be an easy win. Nope, they beat us 20-4.

We had to play Class C Atlanta in boys BB in late 70s. We were Class C too and they killed us

I played football for Live Oak in the early 2000's, so yes. Consistently.

Played lacrosse for LSU in the mid to late 80's, always undermanned. Could barely field a team. We were forever getting our arse kicked. Played the Navy team in Pensacola and I knew we were in for a long afternoon when I lined up to face off with a dude wearing a Team USA World Cup helmet. I held my own against him, we talked during the game and turned out to be his brother's helmet.

quote:Life is a hell of a squad, always have been. Where'd you play D1?
Worst was probably playing Life University in college. This was one of the first years that they played Division 1 College Rugby as previously they were restricted to playing as a D1 Men's Club. We were a Top 10 team then but the difference between a club side and a full varsity program is too much. Kept it close in the 1st half, then ran out of gas.
