1. I personally have yet to see one person with or without the virus (tests pending) with more than the sniffles or flu like symptoms. I realize it is only a matter of time before I do but still.

2. My main point for starting this thread... People will not be happy until everyone who wants a test gets a test. This is ominous to me, but it is our nature. As more are tested, more are going to be positive, and in numbers that will make the general public further shite themselves. Harris Co/Houston will no doubt announce a stay home mandate today. Each report of positive cases or a move by county officials is like a firecracker in a chicken coop. Lots of shitting and flapping. I have fielded phone calls from so many people wanting Corona "screening". We do not screen! We test at this point when deemed needed. My hospital system though is beginning to cave. We are testing some.

3. Tests are just data points. Nothing can be done. Only the symptoms can be treated. Not the virus. So what difference does it make?

4. Wash your hands, watch a little less news, don't touch your face, eat better, and or take vitamin C.

The economic fallout will be worse than this virus. Trump said yesterday that if the virus mortality rate falls under 1% he’s reopening shite next week.

Neither the government or your employer exists to make everyone happy

There are pictures of testing lines that look like great ways to get the virus if you don’t have it.

Trying to explain the difference between screening and testing to the average mouth-breathing WalMarkian is an exercise in futility. Good luck with that.

Sweet, we're already at 1.3% and we're mostly testing people that meet the strict criteria.

Let's just start testing everyone a la New York, and show that the mortality of this thing is shockingly low compared to the hysteria.

watch a little less news,

Best advice. The wife has gone from blissfully watching Hallmark movies all the time to watching the news and is now freaking out about every little nugget of news

I want the economy to be back open and roaring but I do believe that social distancing has worked. I fear if we lift the ban too quickly, that a second waive of infection will occur, but hopefully not.

I will say, if the ban is lifted, this will be an Epic July 4th for our country!

The government is voted for, and my employer is a service industry. Both moved by public opinion. Right or wrong.

Suburban hospitals that serve alot of boomer types and retirement centers and stuff like that are seeing fairly high acuity.

I work at a greater New Orleans hospital, balls deep in the Orleans/Jefferson suburbs and people are pouring in sick as shite. And it's not just the older patients. We're starting to see more people, 50 and under who are fairly acute with pneumonia.

Urgent cares are closing here. They don't want to deal with Covid at all and PPE and cleaning. In addition, people who are scared of the big hospitals are showing up in Urgent cares and free standing ERs when they should have called 911.
