Entergy's smart meter - question about the radiation it puts out?

So i have some neighbors that I recently spoke with who were aksing me if I knew about Entergy's smart meters they are going to be installing at everyone' home. They tell me that are extremely harmful. They constantly kept bringing up the radiation these meters constantly put out. She kept saying its really dangerous around little kids.
She said you can opt out and not allow entergy to install it
anyone aware of the harmful effects this neighbor is talking about?

I've heard horror stories about what these "smart" meters are doing to kids and pets. All for the sake of letting the govt. through a the energy company monopolies spy on us. No thank you for me and my house.

I worked in a nuclear plant in Michigan, and someone who lived up there said that they could “feel” the radiation as the passed the plant in a car...
How on earth is a meter putting off more radiation than the sun burning their skin outside? People are ridiculous.

I can't imagine the smart meter is putting out any more radiation than the phone that is constantly on the body of your neighbor.
