Why are you adverse to managing your electric better? You will learn you can save a great deal of money just by using your dryer when the AC is not running. Move your AC temp up 1 degree then run the dryer. This will be about 30 minutes before the AC kicks.
Yeah, unless your dryer is venting directly into your home and it's in reasonable proximity to the thermostat, that's nonsense. Your refrigerator is rejecting more heat into your home's interior that your dryer is on average.

But I live in South Louisiana and want to use my dryer between the months of January and December.
I live in Houston and run my dryer between January and December. My electric bill this past July was $158 for a 3,887 sq ft home. Just knowing when and how to save electric makes a big difference along with energy deregulation. I enjoy saving money!

Please! I'm begging! Do some research and become and informed person in your community.
I'm talking about consumption. If AC and Dryer is running at same time thats a substantial increase in demand. Higher demand = higher prices. The smart meters allow to see where the demand peaks and the amount consumed. Lets say you use your dryer with no AC usage is .8 kwhr, with AC running alone its 1.2 kwhr. Adding them together does not equal 2.0 kwhr, it spikes at 3.0 kwhr because of the increase in demand.

Child, I work with residential electrical stuff for a living. You don't know wtf you are talking about. You are as grossly misinformed as dixiechick, just in a different way. Demand charging only applies to limited markets and industrial/commercial customers.

I’ve been getting headaches every day at home. Every. Day. After a whole life of rarely getting headaches.
Just now realized it pretty much coincides with when they swapped my meter for an “advanced meter”.
Only found this thread when using google to figure out how to get my old meter back.

What else has recently changed in your life?
If harmful meters were a thing, the attorneys would have tons of class action lawsuits by now.

Are they as bad as staring into a microwave?
Cause that will make you sterile.

Your neighbor is below the legal retardation threshold, and you're right on top of it for even starting this thread. Radiation from a smart meter lmao
Posted on 5/12/20 at 6:22 pm to LSUvegasbombed
If you are your neighbor believe anything California is doing you need more help than worrying about a something like this. By the way. I call BS on this anyway

G5 transmitters spreading Rona all over the place and you're worried about an electric meter?
