They wouldn’t give it to the city. The city would have to pay for it.

If Entergy would want purchase money to turn Entergy New Orleans over to another private company, why would it give their assets to the city for free for the municipal option?

This would be a sale to the city, not a gift.

please please let this happen.

Everything you love about Nola!
- running black outs
- sewage and flooding problems
- streets filled with potholes
- bums everywhere

BUT, no more racist statues and street names

Having to choose whether to be on the side of Entergy or New Orleans leadership is a doozie

Using the tie and the station as a switching yard, meant much more than that 2%.

Yup and as soon as the other lines were assessed and cleared you could pump power from the east to Kenner

Yeah, that was just their way of saying, here's what we would do in a perfect world, but we all know it's all such a clusterfrick that nobody is touching this, so if you want it you can have it.

Caesars bout to have to pick up the tab if they want to keep their lights on.

If the city controls this it’s going to be a disaster. You know it, I know it, they know it, we know it. Entergy certainly knows it.

Who’s been dissatisfied with Entergy New Orleans?

Please explain how another company would have done better.
Getting almost all of Orleans Parish restored in a week is a pretty impressive job. And the people complaining about Entergy may be in for a rude awakening when they see the rates other power companies charge. My parents and I all live in St Tammany, but their Cleco bill is about double what I pay for Entergy and our houses are both the same size.

I cannot imagine the epic incompetent cluster frick this option would produce e

The circle is nearly complete - years ago NOPSI operated the power and gas system in Orleans Parish with the same focus on reliability and focus on customer service as the S&WB.

Yes, let us go back to those halcyon days.

Bluff Called. Now what Council? Set up a minority owned and operated company like the garbage collection group you have.
Hire only "line persons" to set poles and pull the wire.
Give free power to everyone but the "rich".
DON'T BE BULLIED!
