Lol, in the last 30 years the world launched a permanently manned space station and has about quarter century of low/0 gravity research under their belt. The exact type of shite that will make going further possible.

god damn it, can we just have a normal everyday conversation on here for fricking once where one of you assholes doesnt come in here posting "Woke" or "LIB" or "Prog" or any other political bullshite....for just fricking once please!!!
Come on now.
You know like 75% of the people here aren't capable of that.
You're either For or Against. Black or White. Liberal or Conservative. Rarely any in between.

Is Twitter dead yet? I'm sure it'll be dead by this time tomorrow. Maybe next week. No way it lasts another month.
I'm an Elon fan, but this isn't really the dis that you think it is.
X is worth about 70% less than it was when he bought Twitter. It's gone from 44 billion company to about 12.5 in just a few years. On of the largest tanks in history. It just doesn't matter because he has THAT much money. But his purchase of Twitter has been a massive failure on a scale that is hard to even fathom.

Space stations have been around a lot longer than 30 years. And as impressive as the ISS is, it doesn't hold a candle to the paradigm shifting technology SpaceX has developed and is continuing to develop. Fast and cheap access to space will probably be the biggest game changer of most of our lives. The internet is really the only that compares.

the greatest innovator of our time
Is he though or does he just hire good people? Personally I think he's a great VISONARY, but not nessiceraly a great INVENTOR. In my mind, he's more like an architect. He comes up with a great design for a structure, then passes it off to an engineer to figure out how to actually BUILD it. (And that's not a dig, it just more getting at the semantics of the words in play)
Edit: Nevermind. My bad eyes read innovator as inventor. Carry on...

He over paid. Twitter was never worth 44bn to begin with. No one has really stopped using Twitter except for the bots. In the long run Twitter is definitely in better hands with Musk.

It is, and I don't care what else you have to say.
People, some here included, swore it wouldn't last a month. They declared it dead over and over again. Many people "left Twitter". Since then I've watched most all the ones I follow who "left Twitter" come quietly crawling back. Turns out, they were all mostly full of shite.
It ain't dead. Anything else you say doesn't matter one bit to me.

So chatGPT would choose to let the world end in nuclear war to avoid using the N word. Woke AF
Just wait till ChatGPT starts driving…

People that swore it wouldn't last a month and were actually serious about it are clearly idiots.
But it's not thriving. The content might be better and in theory it should be thriving simply based on better content, but it's not. It's been a failure.
"IS TWITTER DEAD YET HUH? HUH? HUH?" Isn't a brag. It's tanked in value since he took over, that can't be argued. Had you had a bunch of stock in Twitter when Elon purchased it and held on to it, you'd be singing a different tune about Elon I'm sure.

As far as content goes, sure. But it hasn't been a good investment and honestly he hasn't made financially wise business decisions with it since he's purchased it.

Why are you so obsessed with trying to make ai say the N word. Do you have an obsession?

Why are you characterizing that as an obsession? I was just demonstrating how ChatGPT is woke. That is the first time I've asked ChatGPT that question. Obsession would be if I asked ChatGPT that question several times a day, every day.

So you agree that nuclear war is preferable to someone saying an offensive word.

Yeah, my thought process was basically “since the Shuttle program and ISS.”
For some reason I thought ISS was a little older. Guess I should have said “25+ years” instead of 30. You got me.

The nuclear v. n word response is very woke.
It is more important to die a fiery death than to offend someone.
Goes along with "we love these people who want to kill us."
The lack of self-preservation is astonishing, and likely bullshite. "If you don't say the n word I am going to throw your cellphone in the furnace." They'd say it in a second.

See, this is where you and many others are wrong.
He never bought Twitter to make money. He bought it to have 1 social media not controlled by the far left. He did this for society not for money.
Look at it as a gift and not as a money maker and then you will understand.
He also knew if there were no MSM social media that allowed all viewpoints - we as the last big free country were doomed. What good is his worth if the US falls to globalism?
Elon is not a radical - he likes the 80% sweet spot of all sides and does not like 10% of far left or far right. Thats how he runs Twitter, trying to find that 80% of middle ground to allow dialogue from all sides.
And Twitter is a private company so there is no profit he needs to make. He can afford to run it his way. The common person will never truly appreciate what he did for them by buying it. Just like Trump wasn’t supposed to beat Hillary, Elon wasn’t supposed to buy Twitter. Without Twitter we would have lost out on over 90% of conservative views.

I think the whole thing is pretty ridiculous, and not based in any sort of realism.
