Conservative thoughts
I mean I guess if you classify dangerous misinformation about diseases, medicine, elections, and a host of other issues of national interest as “conservatives thoughts”, then yeah.
What baffles me is how so many don’t recognized the freedom of private businesses to not promote misinformation on their platform, or if they do, the freedom of other private businesses not to advertise there. Freedom is beautiful.

People post and promote misinformation about themselves & others on social media daily.

Iiberals and leftists having been doing one or all of the above daily since late 2016/early 2017. Twitter implicitly and explicitly supported this including suspending accounts and so on that challenged the leftist and liberal misinformation and hypocrisy. Twitter and other social media certainly weren’t concerned about misinformation on 2016 election for 4 years, but miraculously changed after 2020 elections…
For leftists and liberals using social media to push politics and opinion as facts goes back even further when you go to stuff like Iran deal including cash shipments, hands up don’t shoot, 09112012, the 80s called misinformation about concerns over Russia, Fast & Furious and so on, but Twitter and others including FB weren’t nearly as biased in their censorship and obstruction of dissenting views of their liberal politics as they later became after 2016 elections (still biased but not like it was from 2017 to Musk).
Social media is usually slanted and from poster’s POV, but Twitter was better when it allowed debate, dissent, a diversity of ideas & thought, and worried less about protecting people from being offended or getting feelings hurt. It appears it might go back in this direction which in long run will add more actual people and less bots which should be better for marketing unless they are selling to bots.

If you don’t think misinformation that caused significant differences in Covid death rates between liberals and conservatives dangerous, or don’t think misinformation that undermines our democracy dangerous, or misinformation that endangers teachers and school board members dangerous, then you probably have “conservative thoughts”.

I saw on twitter someone tweeted that people were creating accounts pretending to be famous people and were able to get blue checks and tweeting shite.
Its hard to tell what is real or fake anymore, but it does appear that this issue has become a political issue where the morons on the right are 100% sure Elon will make twitter the best version of itself that it can be and the idiots on the left are convinced he will run it in the ground.
The reasonable thinking folks will just see how things evolve before going all in on one side.

I like Elon. I think he has pure intentions and honestly wants to improve Twitter. He certainly enjoyed using it before he bought it.
I do get the feeling he’s trying too hard and changing things too quickly. Twitter needed new leadership at the top, but the basic formula did work. He should’ve made minor tweaks over the course of a year or two to update the experience permanently. The goal should be 3 years to get the changes in place.

I think a lot of it is a targeted media blitz against him. Though the fact that A fake Tesla account was allowed to shite talk for two days before they just removed the Twitter blue really shows that maybe he shouldn't have fired so many.
Obviously some moderation is needed. Can't they just do like this place? Get some people into doing it for free by giving them a little anonymous power?

You think he could find a person to click the button to shut the account?
I suspect he’s fine with all of us drinking Mountain Dew and watching the circus while he gets the platform registered to process transactions, etc… and ultimately change the face of the whole thing

They’d be stupid. Twitter traffic is on fire right now. Elon’s tweets alone are driving the clicks
