How so? Going 15 in a 55 is vastly different than going your claimed 35 in a 55

Eta: I said it before, but if you walk across a live firing line and get hit, is it your fault, or the people shooting? This is the same scenario

His username is countryboy. He probably considers traveling to the next parish/county a vacation.

Last time I checked all countries are countries. Countryboy2 has probably been to most of them, hence the handle

That's a poor comparison.

Riding a bike on the street is not comparable to walking out onto a firing range that is active.

If you can't understand why that is a bad comparison, then you belong in Louisiana.

It is a shooter's responsibility to identify their target before firing, and avoid shooting someone even if they don't belong in the line of fire, the same as it being a drivers responsibility do identify and avoid pedestrians and cyclist using the same road.

You purposely put yourself in a deadly situation, which could've easily been avoided. Same thing unless you are trying to take all responsibility for his own life away from Amoroso

1) I raced mountain bikes
2) That was a general statement for most riders since the guy said people "cruise at 30-35". Certainly not a racing pace either. If you're too stupid to understand that, maybe you'll be the next to be mowed over

It’s the same principle as minimum speed limits on the interstate. This is even worse because bikers weave in and out of the road and are not as easily seen as a slow moving car

A rural road is not an interstate.

Interstates have minimum speeds and bikes are prohibited.

Rural roads do not have minimum speeds, and bikes are allowed.

I don't bike. But I'm also not a self-absorbed douchebag who thinks I own the fricking road because I'm rollin coal in my F250, truck nuts swangin in the breeze.

Share the fricking road. It's not that goddamn hard.

I own a car, not an F250. I’m saying that it’s dangerous, and especially on a tight winding road, it’s not always as easy as “just share the road”. I don’t think Buddy was run down on purpose or because the driver of the vehicle wasn’t sharing the road on purpose.

I don't see how anyone can say it was safe doing what he did (or even should've been safe). It was just a bad idea, and he put himself in that situation. If you play with fire, you might get burned. He got burned
