Yep. I moved to Mississippi and my quality of life improved.

Let that sink in.

I own a car, not an F250. I’m saying that it’s dangerous, and especially on a tight winding road, it’s not always as easy as “just share the road”. I don’t think Buddy was run down on purpose or because the driver of the vehicle wasn’t sharing the road on purpose.

I'm sure the driver didn't kill him on purpose. Amoroso is still dead.

These accidents are going to continue to happen until cyclists have somewhere safe to train.

Never gonna happen in this state... like someone said early on in this thread, you can have cyclist or you can have truck nut baws, but you can’t have both.

What is wrong with Biloxi?

I don't know if it is a good place to live or not, I am just saying, I never heard anything bad about it. If anything, it's at least as good as any city in Louisiana.

I have a stretch of levee from Uptown New Orleans all the way past Destrahan to train on. I can ride damn near 80 miles round trip. I don’t see why they can’t make paths on top of the levees throughout the entire state. It’s it like we don’t have enough levees

Gulf Coast is a great place. Biloxi/Gulfport is fun if you're single, and Long Beach, Pass Christian, or Ocean Springs are all much better places to raise a family than anywhere near Baton Rouge.

Levee path is the best solution.

Agreed. We’re heading to BSL next week for a few days. Looking forward to checking out downtown and the restaurant, bar scene and the wife is looking forward to the shopping. If the weather cooperates we’re going to take the boat out Wednesday

BSL/Waveland is one area I'm considering buying a house in.

I just like the school district in Long Beach more.

There are a ton of antique shops in BSL within walking distance of the bar area, and I know there's a public boat launch in Diamondhead by Harbor House Steamer.

Gf is from Ocean Springs. I hadn't been there since I was young. Pretty nice little town

I'd be down for moving to Ocean Springs, but it would add another 10-15 minutes to my commute.

You get any grief about golf carts in the bay?

funny you say that. The person we are renting from offers golf cart rentals. I’m not aware of any issues. Should I be?

I really want to like the pass Christian/BSL area because it’s a short drive and I could get a place there really cheap but every time I go it doesn’t sell itself

Oh, it was a HUGE issue. Mothers Against Having Fun was absolutely pissed to see teenage children ferrying their parents about half a frickin mile to TBT.

I’m trying. It’s starting to grow on me. I’d rather have a place on Grand Isle but BSL/Waveland/Pass is closet and less expensive

Well I’m staying 2 blocks from TBT so I think I’ll need a cart but from what I remember the cops are bad in BSL and there were golf carts everywhere but I didn’t think there was an issue.
