Guarantee you he is one of those moronic rednecks who refuses to go on a vacation in California cause of "them damn liberals" that live there.

Wrong. I’ve stated the exact opposite. Vehicle drivers are far more likely to be at fault than the cyclist.
The cyclist however put themselves in a dangerous position. Which they do. As seen via the countless ghost bikes around the nation.

I refuse to go to California. At least the Bay Area. I’d go to the OC or Tahoe. Mrs Pimp has relatives in the Bay Area and we have a free place to stay and she absolutely refuses even though we both used to love Chinatown. Too depressing, all that rage and cultural decay.
How about a middle ground ? Colorado, Texas hill country, The Rocky Myn States,

I meant he is one of those uneducated rednecks that think all of California is liberals.
Not realizing there are several areas with very conservative residents.

Weird, I went in April and had a great time. Didn’t see any rage or cultural decay.

I'm out. This argument is stuck in an endless loop. I hope you and your cycling friends enjoy your passion safely and unfettered. Make the most of every ride, because those required self-driving cars and bicycles might be just around the corner.

I cruise at 15 on my hybrid, and it's a size too small for me.
A good rider on a road bike should be able to cruise near 30.

I'll take your word on the rage. But the cultural decay is omnipresent in California. It's depressing. Like Louisiana is depressing. You might not be old enough to notice the decline or you may be ideologically inclined to ignore it or you may just be obstinate. By every meaningful measurable, California is in decline-except for the entertainment/real estate/ tech uber class. That doesn't mean it's permanent, it just means it's made a LOT of mistakes with public policy.
New York was a shithole in my youth. Now it rocks. LA was paradise on earth in 1970, now not so much. Just saying-be objective and dig deeper. There is a reason the middle class has fled in unprecedented numbers for Texas, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho etc.

I don't think that this is unreasonable. Their estate's should be responsible for property damage caused by their irresponsible behavior. The law is going to have to be changed. If the road doesn't have a shoulder and the speed limit is above 45 a bicyclist has no business on it. It's obvious that the cyclists aren't going to utilize common sense and practice their hobby in a responsible manner so they need to be forced.

The same mouth-breathers that get their drawers in a knot over the libs calling for gun bans, bc, you know, guns kill people. Mouth breathers say people kill people. Not guns. They are right. But when a cyclist is mowed down they cant apply that same logic. They shift the blame around.
Then, one day they might get popped by a car while checking their mail. They definitely won't apply that same logic and Morris Bart is one call away.

quote:It's called putting yourself in the line of fire.
How can a cyclist possibly take responsibility for that?
quote:No argument there. But there are roads that are dangerous to ride on, in which you're willfully putting yourself and your life in the line of fire of rural drivers driving the backroads like a bat out of hell.
It is a drivers responsibility not to hit anything in the road.

Bruh, if you can average 30 for any longer than say, five miles on flat ground, you should have multiple sponsors and be racing professionally. Cruising on a road bike isn't a 100yd dash

frick it. So you clowns want to ride on roads with limited space and add in distracted drivers while questioning other people's intelligence. Do you realize how fricking dumb you are? Go ahead and ride shithead. Buy life insurance mofrickingron. Wadewilson has made outrageous comments and comparisons but others are stupid. You can't make this shite up.
