Albeit a very simple statement, Christians, Jews, and Muslims all start with the same God in the Old Testament, no? They pretty quickly diverge, but the God of Abraham sort of kicks things off.

From a faith origin perspective, yes, I agree.

I have read that Islam and Mohammed was heavily influenced by Arianism which was and is considered a Christian Heresy.

Yes, Islam is best understood as a radical Christian heresy. One so far from the original that it bares only vestigial resemblance to the original.

Gotcha.

They're basically the same God for 1500 years. The last 2000 is where things have gotten a little chippy.

You know what’d be fricking awesome?

If we sent a tomahawk missile straight into Mecca.

If it was only that easy. Naw it would just make it a new martyr type thing while energizing the Jihad. And guarantee primitive nukes blown somewhere important.

I remember he specifically said Islam is all about peace. Above all else, they just want to see a planet be free from conflict and truly peaceful in every land.

Yes that's correct. Some Muslims view that in a nonviolent light. Other Muslims see it the same way that strangling a barking puppy has now put everything "at peace". Once you stop struggling and just accept their belief as true, everything is good. The problem isn't them forcing their beliefs on you through whatever means necessary, it is you for struggling. This is also called the rapist worldview.

I'm an atheist but I always get a good laugh when someone drops a "Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are really the same" line.

K, so you pettily destroyed Mecca and sent it's ashes to the wind?

One billion people aren't going to convert and/or see the error of their ways. We'd have kicked the hornet's nest so hard that nests of other hornets that all hate each other swarm together for once.

Take down militant leaders that step out of lime as they arise, let em kill each other, heavily monitor anyone trying to come around to the places that matter, and we're mostly good.

No but they do recognize Jesus as a prophet in a similar vein to Muhammad. They’re more related than a lot of people wanna admit

Here’s the thing that I want you to understand, frick Islam. I’d gladly go to war against those child rapists and mass murderers. What is the holiest day in the goat fricker calendar? Send missiles to that shite heap on that day and dare them to retaliate.

They’ve been doing shite like that to Christians and Jews for millennia. They deserve their just desserts.

Well, they're different just like a spider monkey, gorilla, and chimpanzee are different. But, they all evolved from the same imaginary primate.

One can only conclude, from your post, that your parents dropped you on your head as a baby. A lot.

Not even Oweo would post something this bad.

Kind of like Romans who would turn a country into a desert and call it “peace”

Yup. Which is why the western world should curb immigration from those parts.

"The bones of Muhammad are in Medina, the bones of Confucius are in Shantung, the cremated bones of Buddha are in Nepal. Thousands pay pilgrimages to worship at their tombs which contain their bones.

"But in Jerusalem there is a cave cut into the rock. This is the tomb of Jesus. IT IS EMPTY! YES, EMPTY! BECAUSE HE IS RISEN! He died, physically and historically. He arose from the dead, and now sits at the right hand of God."
