Drunk or not? Four drinks, four hours

If a 200 lb man drinks four drinks (typical light beers, one per hour) over a four hour round of golf, is he good/legal to drive?
What say the OT?

Math says you're fine.

4 beers over 4 hours? Why even bother. Just drink some water or a coke.

No, you must call your wife to come get you so your golf buddies can laugh hysterically while she yells at you.

My opinion is that it's fine and you could confidently take a BAC test. I just wonder what the general consensus is.

Not drunk but likely over limit

I'm sure you're fine, I just wanted to be the first smartass in the thread.

Legally you should be good:
For myself, if I've had a drop of alcohol, I do not drive.

For sure, but everything I've seen suggests you'd be well under the limit. Not to mention, refusing the test has brutal penalties in Louisiana.
I know I've seen where it's possible to get a DUI even if under the limit, but I'm not sure about that.

Not sure about the law in Louisiana, but BAC is a guideline and cops can still run you in if they smell even a drop. Of course, when they put you on the official test after booking and processing you for an hour, you are likely definitely below the legal limit.

Nope
Your body removes roughly one drink an hour
4 beers over 4 hours will not have you over the limit

It's not a matter of debate.
You process .02 per hour. Regular 12 oz domestics are 4.2% beer that give you about .02. You could technically choke slam all 4 and be right around the legal .08%. Then, if you wait an hour, you should already be below .08 (yes, diff body heights/weights/tolerances get drunk differently in terms of actual buzz)
Caveat, you can get a DUI even if you have .01% if you fail a field sobriety test, or a breathalyzer. If you drink a swig of beer and blow into a breathalyzer, your reading will spike. You have to wait about 30 minutes before that reads your actual level of drunk. And it IS accurate if you wait that long, to tell you where you are. A cop, however doesn't have to know when you took your last sip. The second that thing reads over, you're dead to rights. Always politely decline and ask to be taken in for a blood test at the police department. Field sobriety tests can be used against you, too.
TLDR: if you blow anything above a 0%, they can fail you, and you will have a dui.

1 light beer a hour might not even register a number unless you slammed the last one right at the end.

Don’t drink and drive. Americans are complete idiots. Least bit of doubt on your unhealthy, fat guy habits, get an uber.

It’s illegal to have a light beer yesterday and drive but completely legal to have a weed smoke cloud following your Altima everywhere you go
