Kratom is illegal in Louisiana and Arkansas but legal in Mississippi. Thst may change.

both Ole Miss victims had Kratom on their scene. Nobody said Kratom was the cause, the media just said LEO were looking for any possible connections between the two scenes

Kratom is legal in Mississippi, and most other states. It's sold in smoke shops and gas stations. It's been around for at least a decade.

when my kid went off to school last year we had the talks about the usual, but "don't take any pill that you didn't purchase from a bottle at HEB or Walmart" was the longest talk of all.
obviously i'll be disappointed if he makes bad choices with women or alcohol, but pills are not something you get to come back from.
