No shite.

*Parenting books mention that traditional remedy actually isn’t good. You know, the entire actual value of reading such a book*

“Oh my god why are they pushing it so hard?”

As you grow older you don't need milk. You're not a calf or infant.

Unpopular opinion, oh well.

Mild doesn’t create mucus

Milk thickens saliva which can give the impression it’s creating mucus or phlegm. Mucus with saliva mixed in and then combined with milk can give the temporary sensation of phlegm. Mucus and/or saliva wrapped phlegm when exposed to milk can make existing congestion much worse especially if already struggling to breathe no matter how temporary.

Pretty sure you should never drink milk unless you're an infant and it's human milk

2 oranges
1/2 lemon
8 pieces of ginger
Apple cider vinegar
Pinch of cayenne

Your sore throat won’t stand a chance.

Good grief, you left out the most important ingredient.
Bourbon 1-2 oz.

And what's with the 8 pieces of ginger?

When you fart, you're gonna smell like a spice rack.

Sundown is hot toddy time. The ginger bomb is a day sipper to keep the mucus and inflammation at bay.

Dairy causes me to produce mucus. So I have always avoided much of it.

When I have a sore throat, I want some spicy hot and sour soup from the Chinese restaurant. The spice and the cornstarch in it soothes my throat and unclogs my nose.

This is really stupid

Yeah? My wife watches a lot of broadcast TV, and there are all these ads now encouraging people to take antipsychotics for depression. I probably see 10-12 a day, all for different flavors of liquid lobotomy. There's even one that encourages you to give Rexulti to your grandma with dementia if she acts up. ("She even started cursing!" )

So maybe you can go sit and the corner and have a nice Thorazine-colada. Who needs a brain anyway?

Popular with me. I was thinking more of my kids, though. Like someone else said, I drink milk maybe 2-3 times per year and it's mixed about 50-50 with vodka and Kahlua.

My kids drink a half gallon of milk a day regardless of what is going on. Only exception is if they are throwing up, because I ain't cleaning that shite up.

Definitely a fever. Milk turned sour in my stomach because of my fever. Threw up all over the place.

My wife was told this as a kid. Do you think the 2 degree difference in body temp causes the milk to sour? 98.6 degrees is already pretty hot for milk

If I start coming down with a cold or flu, I start craving Coke or any cola-flavored drink. I seldom drink them otherwise, but I'll go through liters while I am down with it.

Speaking of stuff like that, one of my favorite items i still have from my granddaddy is a book of old school remedies that seem to be forgotten.

It’s simple stuff and most is stuff from nature
