Yeah. "Might". And Fauci isn't the end all on this decision, is he?

This "more testing" facade is tired. This thing has already spread, we already have empty testing centers, the hospitals are not overwhelmed, there are therapeutics making progress.

If these doctors got their way, for safety reasons, we can never go outside or touch anything or anyone again. You know, "if it saves one life".

I also was unaware that professional athletes were over 70 years old. Just do it without fans to mitigate that potential.

He also said "might". They're forcing the hand of everyone to make sure they get their contact tracing, more testing, etc.

You know what the difference between God and Dr. Fauci is?

God doesn't think he's a doctor.

I’m not saying he’s not political or right all the time but he’s right a hell of a lot more than any of us here would be in his position.

That's not the point. We can only evaluate what he has said and done since appointed the point man for handling CV. He has been wrong and duplicitous. Weeks ago he was asked about hook-up sights like Tinder where he green-lighted the app participants. Now, among other dire predictions, says sports for this year is off the table?

Well the Warriors season is over for sure. They’re not gonna play any more regular season games, not exactly ground breaking

How about we look at what he actually said
quote:

"It feels like the offseason," Kerr said during a video conference call in conjunction with the University of San Francisco on Tuesday. "And, in fact, we had a Zoom call, Bob Myers and I got on a Zoom with our players, our whole roster last week. And it was just a chance to check in, but it was also a chance for Bob to update the players on his contact with the league and the latest news, but it also kind of felt like our annual team exit meeting. Our coaching staff and I have been undergoing staff evaluations, offseason plans, so we are absolutely in offseason mode right now."

As other teams in playoff contention try to keep their teams focused on a possible resumption of play, Kerr said that though the Warriors remain in communication with all their players and staffers, the team isn't concerned about a possible resumption, given that Golden State had a league-worst 15-50 record when the season was suspended on March 11.

Not surprising to me. Live sports events would be a hotbed for spread if we don't put any restrictions. The obvious argument is that we can plan for it with reduced seating and keeping people 10' apart and such, which I agree. But ownerships probably won't want to risk lawsuits or a PR nightmare by having people in the stadiums.

I expect any sort of high-density events to be cancelled or severely limited through the rest of the year and even in early 2021. Concerts, festivals, sports, parades, etc.

Imagine how many people get the flu/cold/whatever at every sporting event and public place around the world. Never stopped us before. I’ll take my chances with Covid. Particularly if this comes back every season and mutates, we are wasting our time waiting for a vaccine that won’t be effective past a couple months
