Cool. Its smart to prepare for something that is possible. It would be dumb for schools to not prepare for such a situation.

But that is months away and I'm not going to get mad about something that could easily change.

What I don't understand is why isn't he just giving everyone the fact and letting the individual leagues decide how to handle their business?

Why is he injecting his opinion into this?

His medical opinion is valuable. His opinion on whether or not the standard to operate a business is the ability to "guarantee safety" is not. In fact, that opinion is profoundly dangerous and destructive.

Why can't they play in empty stadiums? Hell MLB practically does this on weekdays. Revenue from the stadium ticket revenue would be down, but TV advertising revenue should make up most of that.

Honestly, I don't even think there is a way to deny that this is just the government flexing on the people.

How about these pecker lickers let me determine what is safe for me. If you want to sit at home, then sit your arse at home. But I’m tired of letting months of my life go to waste that I can’t get back.

Some people rather “exist” than live their life.

Who the frick can guarantee safety just walking around and driving day to day? Sports alone are sometimes dangerous. WTF kind of standard is that?

Major League Baseball may be plotting a return, but Dr. Anthony Fauci has some bad news for everyone hoping for team sports to return.

Fauci, the infectious disease expert who’s a part of the White House’s coronavirus task force, says that without widespread testing and quick results, sports may be sidelined for the duration of 2020.

“Safety, for the players and for the fans, trumps everything,” Fauci told the New York Times. “If you can’t guarantee safety, then unfortunately you’re going to have to bite the bullet and say, ‘We may have to go without this sport for this season.’”

And he's been repeatedly put in his place but multiple people, but just ignores it and moves on.

So basically until Dr Fauci can guarantee that I won't get knocked unconscious by a foul ball at a baseball game its best to cancel all sports indefinitely.

Got it.

Exactly how did I misquote Kerr? Did he not say he talked to his team and he thinks the season is done?

Their season is done. But that has nothing to do with teams that are in playoff positions.

Im not sure where I said anything false, anything about playoff teams, or misquoted Kerr in anyway

So, again, why am I being accused of misquoting Kerr?

it was pretty clear to me that they just trickle truthing us because they know deep down things are not going to truly open until 2021

start at phase 1, then move onto phase 2, then back to phase 1 again. over and over and over.

never truly opening but giving people the false consciousness of normalcy

You tried to use it as a source for the NBA not resuming. I get that being dishonest is just what you do now, but have a shred of dignity.

delays the onset of civil unrest because people will accept the lockdowns as long as they see light at the end of the tunnel and feel like it's not too far away

eventually that strategy has to stop working. People will just be squeezed too tightly at some point.
