DoorDash, which is primarily known for its restaurant food delivery business, will pay $65 per Instacart share, a 26% premium over the stock's Oct. 22 closing price. The transaction includes 75% cash, with Instacart stockholders able to elect cash, DoorDash stock, or a combination of both. Instacart's board of directors unanimously approved the deal, according to a press release.

Grocery delivery apps have ruined my once nice grocery store. It’s full of felons now. Not too long ago, Latoya was the only criminal I ever saw there

It’s definitely easy to tell who the Instacart shoppers are.

I wish something would happen where people had to go back to producing most of their own food instead of eating entrails pressed into dinosaur shapes

Felons are doing the delivery? I recognize this one woman from Shipt who is there all the time, but haven't otherwise noticed a difference.

Chances are those aren’t felons because we don’t prosecute Somali illegals

I’m sure they had a hand in some genocide or other in the home country but they don’t have a court system there

People paying regularly for these services are also the ones complaining about gas and food prices.

Shambles is probably an overstatement but it certainly hasn’t been performing well.

Local starbucks has a line around the building and the restaurants are packed every weekend.

Door dash has no background checks no requirements. You just sign up and start.
Uber eats and Insta cart you need a valid license, they do a background check and all.

Door dash doesn't force the person to show ID and prove who they are when signing in line Uber Eats.
If you use Uber you will likely pay more but there is some screening. With DD is good luck.
And Bumquisha may eat half your fries.

Oh yeah. Used to be a bunch of uptown white women and men in business casual and now it’s like you’re under the Claiborne bridge

Have you considered that we’ve descended into economic nihilism because there’s no use in saving for anything because assets are so inflated

Also consider that all of these coffee and avocado toast places are black holes that transfer money from working class people into the pockets of private equity

theres something that societies have done time and time again about this however the frog is most likely already boiled

My kids use to do deliveries to supplement their incomes. One of my sons will still occasionally check the app when sitting in a parking lot to see if anyone nearby needs something from where he is. Occasionally people will pay stupid money to have something delivered that are less than a few miles away, so he takes advantage of it. Sometimes he is on his way home from work and still in his paramedic uniform.
