What kind of gun was owner using? Stopped ole boy dead in his track. Pun intended.

It appeared to be a 1911 probably chambered with .45 ACP hollow points. Blood pressure is lost quite quickly.

That first POS dropped like a stone

Awesome. Looks like the robber was dead before he hit the floor

Good thing his piece was right there.
I don't know about this situation, but every time I go into a gun store just about every person is carrying on their person.

eta-I meant employees of the gun stores.

It is usually true both ways....although a lot of customers just don't have it out in plain sight....either way armed robbery of a gun store is just plain idiotic.

Was that a shot to the dome?

I can't see a body shot instant killing like that. Dude went limp while still on his feet.

What a fricking shot by grandpa.

A gun shop has to be one of the WORST places to rob.

Just about every one I've been in has each employee armed and then you have the guy behind the glass with a rifle ready to rock.

Someone didn't think this through. Glad the owner came out on top. Hope he doesnt' beat himself up too much over it.

This makes me think of the deal in Jackson. Someone will show up on TV to say that if he would just let the place get robbed then no one would be dead.

The sad truth is, even if the shop owner hadn't tried to be Billy Badass, the overzealous police officers would have likely murdered one of the victims during the robbery investigation.

I'm trying to decide what blew the glass out of the top of the closest showcase ... must have been muzzle blast from the store owner's first shot maybe?

Waiting for the inevitable boo hooing by the dead perp's mother or grandmother about how he was a good keed who would never do no wrong and was about to go to college

Then the inevitable lawsuit against the store owner

The fact that this poor guy and his friends have to defend his actions to these fools in the media is the saddest part of this article.

Thats the thing though. You dont have to. I wish people would realize this. Dont placate these fricks. Just do your shite and then laugh when they want to "dialogue". When you just straight up refuse to play the game they literally malfunction.

I think this shooting was unjustified. He had multiple opportunities to apply logic and reason with them and I'm sure they would have listened to him and left his store.
