McGehee is maybe the second wokest place in city behind Ben Franklin. Had a man wearing makeup and jewelry as teacher of the month last year.

So you've moved from lack of acknowledging to they acknowledged.

Why would they show that in every room?
Every school watches the presidential inauguration, unless you went to school in Russia.
I have cousins who attended in 2016, the school refused to acknowledge Trump, like the pink pussy hat wearers who protested the weekend before.

Why anyone would intentionally raise children in ugly arse Houston is beyond me. New Orleans definitely has issues though like crime, infrastructure, school system. I never understood why people move to Houston for a job when you can move anywhere else in the United States.

Interesting, I’d never heard that. I just thought you had to be smart to to there. My daughter was honor roll all the way through school. When she got to DHS, whew, was she at the bottom the barrel. She found her way thought and she was prepared for LSU and beyond. What she never could figure out is how the gals who partied all weekend made honors. She had her theory, lol. One thing we learned is alot of them were as like what you saw in public school, just kept it secret vs being open about it. A lot from the west bank, too. But that could just be bc a typical high schooler.

I could see a civics class or something like that watching it.
Just a hard time believing every class watched the Obama election again. As was stated.

I mean different strokes for different folks but in the city, I would send my girls to mc ghee, sacred heart and newman before Dominican. I would also consider country day and st martins in jeff parish before Dominican.
Its your personal preference so not judging that. Will note Jesuit and Dominican were/are significantly more affordable that those schools and provide a great education. I say that with no ties to either school.

When I was in HS it was the Bush/Gore recount

I’ve read this 3 times and still don’t understand it. What was the theory?

I’ve known several ppl that hate on Dominican bc either they or their sister didn’t get in

A lot from the west bank

When I was there - there was a Walgreens on the corner of Carrollton & Earhart - one of my classmates was smoking a cigarette outside of the Walgreens in her uniform - an administrator caught her and she was suspended
That’s how it used to be (and yes that girl was from the West Bank)
As for the honors - who knows - when I was there it was pretty rigorous and no male teachers to sleep with - not sure about when your daughter was there - so they must’ve cheated

I have zero idea why you would send your girls to Dominican unless you can’t afford other options
Websites say Dominican is more expensive than Chapelle and Mount Carmel

Couple of mothers were carjacked in the carpool line in separate incidents I’ve heard.
It’s always amazing to me how plugged into the NOLA crime scene MrLSU is for someone who is so consistently wrong on every single topic.
Dominican has gone woke and is attracting a new kind of girl. Mt. Carmel, Brother Martin, and Jesuit (all in Orleans parish) are doing just fine enrollment wise.

I have on good authority that "almost all the girls from the West Bank either didn't go to college, or went to southeastern, and got pregnant right after high school"

we don’t live anywhere near Houston city limits. And the school district my children will attend, is as good, if not better than any school district within 100 miles of New Orleans.
And we chose to start careers in Houston rather than Louisiana, because the salaries are significantly higher and the cost of living isn’t. fairly simple.
Why would you hold a job in New Orleans when you could get a job anywhere else?
and you could call Houston a lot of things, but the word “ugly” in comparison to New Orleans is laughable
