We read her books to our sons. They are 4.
She would be a Saint if Catholic.

She really was awesome. Seemed to treat everyone around her well and did a tremendous amount of good with her money. Honestly, it's something I'd like to see us have a bit of a return to. I don't understand why the Zucks and Musks of the world aren't routinely building and dedicating parks, libraries, theaters, etc, like the old barons of the gilded age. I'm not saying give it all away. I'm not even saying give most of it away. But build something that will last, other than just more business.

I loved how her amusement park did lots of Christmas shows and such during the season.

I love that when she helped build things in Tennessee she made whoever she was working with hire local workers and companies when possible.
Tons of parks and beautification in Tennessee were funded by Dolly.

Just read the book Hotdog to my kids from her. One of about 1000 books she has given us.

A person could do much worse than to follow her path in life as it relates to charity and our fellow man. She was a kind and giving soul. Godspeed Dolly!

That's what I appreciated about her. She kept her personal life... her personal life and she didn't do her charity work to say "look what I am doing". I think her image was as authentic as it got. She was/is a true American legend.

I got sad the day we received the last book for our youngest boy. Between the two kids, had been receiving them monthly from 2014 to 2021. Looked forward to them arriving.
