Does LSU still have free speech alley?

Anyone here ever participated?
I played guitar with two friends singing In the Summertime by Mungo Jerry. (circa 1986)
For those that have never heard of it.. it was a weekly gathering at a bench in front of the union and people would stand up and sing a song, or give a speech, or do comedy, whatever. There was a preacher sometimes but sounds like it evolved over the years into a going to hell shitshow.

It was still there when I was at LSU, but it was mostly religious whackos trying to preach to everyone walking by.

It’s a great place to be verbally assaulted by a purple haired SJW

Don’t forget it’s associated “You are going to hell” Tuesdays.

I attended LSU 2010-2016. Free Speech Alley was weird. A preacher would come around yelling at us and condemn us to hell.

LSU effectively ended it in 2013 when they had to modify their policy or face a lawsuit.

I was there in 2000-2005 and it was Consuming fire fellowship out of woodville ms that came there.
Those people were semi-retarded.....

Better question is does LSU still sell game day tshirts during the week? For football.

LSU ends Free Speech Alley.
The policy itself is linked in the article.

LifeNews.com reported on Wednesday that Azhar’s prediction was correct; LSU has adopted a new speech policy that neither limits student expression to certain areas on campus nor requires students to obtain prior approval before distributing literature.

When I was there circa 2005-2010 it was a place for the preachers to Tel everyone they are going to hell.

I would listen to other people have conversations with the preachers and they were always very stupid. Saying pacifically for specifically, things like that

Was really just a place for clubs to harass you with flyers.....and "YOU'RE GOING TO HELL TUESDAY"

I didn't realize it was an actual school-sponsored event or that the previous policy existed. Interesting.

Was it only weekly back then? In the 90's and 2000's it was a daily opportunity to be told you were going to hell.

I used to go to join in the heckling of Brother Jed and Sister Cindy as they called all of us LSU students whores and whoremongers.
That was my comedy for the week.

That's what I'd envision it to be these days. Some dumb leftist chick screeching about her free speech while trying to shut down yours.
