I don’t think so. I think a simp worships women and tries to be chivalrous in the hopes he gets a sympathy frick.

A cuck is a married man that knows his wife is cheating on him yet still stays with her willingly

Ahhh, okay. I was hoping that maybe the word cuck had run its course.

I always thought that simp was a dummy, as in short for simpleton.

Not all simps are cucks, but nearly all cucks are simps.

he parallel in the decline of rap and country music is interesting to me. Seems like both started to really go down hill after the early to mid 2000s give or take a few years.

There's some good rap out there, it's just not getting the attention that mumble rappers get.

Today's country music blows.

Mainstream music is largely garbage for any genre. With the internet and increased exposure any artist can have, popular music has become even further a lowest common denominator thing.

There's great music out there if you look for it.

It amazes me how many people say crap like this all the time, especially when talking about country music.

Pick any genre of music and go 10 years back, and 10 years before, and so on. All genres of music sound different with time.

The rock of today sounds and looks nothing like the rock of the 80s, and 80s rock was nothing like the 60s rock.

This applies to all genres of music.

LET IT GO MAN, LET IT GO.

There are still plenty of great movies made every year. Jojo Rabbit, Once upon a time in Hollywood, Parasite, The Lighthouse, The Irishmen, 1917, Knives Out, Ford V Ferrari all came out in the last year. People just like the complain that no good movies are made anymore when it's not true

I think you're kinda making my point for me. While these movies might not be terrible, I don't think most people are going to remember them, let alone rewatch them in 5-10 years. Maybe im just getting old.

On the flip side, I think some of the Netflix series have really taken off with some good stuff. Maybe that's where the creativity went.

No he made country entertaining. He brought energy and personality to country. You know who else was hated for energy and entertainment? Johnny cash. Did he ruin country music too?

What ruined country music is that record labels realized a lot of people like country music and the pop labels moved into country music.

Makes sense. Their main audience are basic country bitches.

They're like basic bitches but also include the following attributes:

-Can't get enough of Chick-Fil-A. They will not consider any other restaurant but that.
-Loves pink camo but wouldn't be caught dead doing any outdoor activity.
-Has either a Salt Life sticker or one of those Browning logos with a buck and doe making a heart sticker but don't fish or hunt.
-If they claim they love fishing, they won't take a fish off a hook, can't bait a hook, can't tie a simple Palomar knot.
-Wears Under Armor leggings
-LOOOOVES bro country but will listen to hiphop as well. May even line dance to rap.
-Claims to hate guys who drive lifted trucks, dates guys who drive lifted trucks.
-Wears Grunt Style or any other bro-vet shite but doesn't have any close relatives that served in the military.

Get off of free radio. Go on Pandora, YouTube, etc and find bands. Rick isn’t dead

ETA
Rock isn’t dead. I like the typo too much to change it

Rock is not dead.

Again, you have to look further than the radio or your "top hits" Pandora station.
