put this into a similar category as a shower beer. You could do it. But why?

After mowing the lawn on a 105 degree day

A shower beer is awesome.

No, I just get fricked up at work so by the time I go home I'm good.

I'm good knowing as soon as I get home I know I'm getting even more fricked up so I can resist any urge

There would be less car accidents if everyone got one cold beer out of the trunk and threw the cell phone in the trunk

Drinking while driving. Classic

Almost never happens that someone gets into a car sober and gets out drunk.

A road beer is acceptable on the way home as long as part of the drive includes a gravel road.

No. That’s trashy.

Having a beer on the ride home from work is as good a combo as peanut butter and jelly.

I had one yesterday as a matter of fact. And it was delicious.

In all seriousness, it is a trashy, low rent thing to do.

Man frick you. While my dad didn't start drinking as soon as he got off, he would stop off and buy his six pack to drink when he got home.

During the summer months, all the parents in the neighborhood would get together in the evening.. And the men sat around drinking. Every now and then they gambled.

I don't drink anymore, but I would go meet a few coworkers for a drink or two before going home on any random day of the week. I went every Thursday no matter what..

There was a guy who I worked with who was a known alcoholic. Everyone knew that between the time he got to work until about 10AM was the best time to interact with him. No one would schedule a meeting he was needed in between 10AM - 1PM. Around 10 he started to get moody and easily agitated. He went to lunch at 12 and would come back good to go. Easy to deal with. He was good to go until about 4PM. So it was the same thing, no one scheduled a meeting he had to be in after 4.

He was much more functionable after having drinks. Alcohol has different impacts on people. But yeah that's how simple minded you are "its trashy and a low rent thing to do"

It also goes without saying you must swerve like George Jones while on said gravel road.

Im too paranoid to drink and drive these days. When I was young though, I dont ever remember riding in the truck with my dad when he didnt have a 16oz Miller Lite.

I’d assume most people who drink a road beer after work also have a beer before work.

My old boss started out as bank examiner in Texas in the 1980s. He said they use to measure the drive from small town to small town in by beer cans.

Worked construction in Florida during the summer in the early 80s, a "road beer" was pretty damn common before the "open container" laws started..... nannies

Dad used to tell me about a guy he worked with that's pick up a 6pk everyday when he left work in Plaquemine. Drive all the way out to Denham. By the time he got home, 6pk was done for.

Only story I got.
