I'm not going to be specific, but there's a certain relative that whines about never ever seeing us every time they're in our presence. Example: they'll be over at dinner or at our home and instead of enjoying it, all they talk about is "I just never see you, maybe you could come see me more often?"...
We see said person 2-3 times/week as is. Gets under my skin because I don't like being guilted.

I'm with you dude. I love her and she has the best intentions but the drama with my mom is draining. She just talks and talks too. Drives me nuts.

Love my parents to death. But, my dad is always in his own little world and is even worse when he's on his phone. We can be having a conversation around him, 1/2 way through the conversation he'll put the phone down, look up and ask a question about the conversation that we've already discussed for 10 minutes. He's the kind of guy that will be on an airplane with my wife sitting behind him and he'll put his seat down, not even giving 2 $hit's about my wife's comfort.
My mom is the best. Can definitely be suffocating and always wants to interject her 2 cents, but she's an amazing woman. And, she loves my daughter probably more than she loves my dad (they're still married after 46 years).
My MIL drives me bat shite crazy. She will turn EVERY thing into a story about herself. It's actually quite amazing that she has that many stories about herself because i'm not kidding when I say its EVERY STORY.
My FIL is cool as hell. I can be around him non-stop. He still likes to smoke the dope, still drinks with the best of them, loves sports.....all things that I am into.

Holy shite. You too? I stopped telling stories around mine because of that. And mine is also an expert on everything. When talking about the most trivial, random thing - she feels like she is going to swoop in and save the day by informing me about what I already knew 20 years ago.

My dad use to come at me hard and sometimes I felt like I couldn't be around him long, then he died unexpectedly at 58 and it changed everything.
You may not can see it now but you will when you are dealing with your own 18-21 year old punk arse kid and watching him make all the wrong decisions.

My dad used to be the most negative Debby downer. All he did was complain about almost everything that happened to him. Every simple shoot the shite convo got deep. We finally had a serious talk about it, I found him some good sources on changing his mindset on life. He has a new job and is doing sooooooo much better. He still has his moments, but it's nice to have him around now.

I can be around my mom for a couple hours at a time but she is a closet racist who constantly bitches about anything and everything in the news despite "not watching it". I swear she loves to be in bad moods and I have no idea how my dad does it, i'd have imagined they would have been divorced ages ago because they are just not good together.
My dad is probably the most laid back guy I know, he really does not care about much. When I got arrested, I thought my mom was gonna take my head off and I didn't even want to face my dad, but all he did was look at me and go, "Don't do that again" and that was it. He has no interest in meeting my gfs unless my mom makes him. We can talk about paranormal stuff, aliens and fantasy football, those are like his 3 biggest hobbies. Outside of that, it's "hey, how ya doing? good" and that's it.

I can be around my mom but we just never talk. The only time I hear from her is if there is big family news or she has some kind of question that I am the only person she can go to (usually something about LSU football schedule or whatever). Otherwise we go months without speaking and I don't even hear from her on my birthday. Very odd because I felt we had a good relationship when I was growing up. Once I graduated HS and moved out she was still the same but slowly things began to change and she has gotten more and more distant.
