The new electric Charger, which I don't think will actually be able to charge anything in the electric sense.

The Scat Pack is the highest performance trim that will deliver 670 horsepower and 0-60 in 3.3. Should be a lot of fun for all of you OTers into scat play.

EPA estimated range is 260 miles for the Scat Pack but continued heavy acceleration will likely degrade that quickly. Fast charging takes you from 5 to 80 percent in a lightning fast 33 minutes.

And it's still got that muscle car roar:

quote:

When the RPMs increase, the vehicle’s “Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust System” kicks in. “Sound intensity is tied to higher performance,” Dodge says, meaning the fake engine growl increases in volume — and ferocity — as the vehicle accelerates. And yes, there are speakers.

WTF. Marketing lingo for fake exhaust sound. Also, I think there will a lot of complications trying drive all the systems electronically.

Battery will be toast in less than 5 yrs. Unless these EV batteries are made with unicorn dust rapid charging is the worst thing you can do for a battery.

Whats the definition of a muscle car?

quote:

Muscle car is a description according to Merriam-Webster Dictionary that came to use in 1966 for "a group of American-made two-door sports coupes with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving."[1]

quote:

The Britannica Dictionary describes these as "an American-made two-door sports car with a powerful engine."[2]

Given that this vehicle does not have an engine, it would be kinda hard for it to be considered a muscle car no?

Unwilling to bid farewell to the era of gas-slurping street-legal dragsters? No problem! Dodge still has a muscle car for you.
No they don't.

Dodge hasn't said how much the 2024 Charger Daytona models will cost, but we expect the R/T's base price to be above $60,000 when it goes on sale this fall.

I really like EV’s but if you have to make fake noises, I don’t think you get to be in the muscle car club.
