Pay $150 to get a medicinal marijuana card to use until Louisiana quits believing that Jesus hates weed.

A common trap people fall when they hear something like this is they think it means if they keep drinking they’ll die the next day or something. When that doesn’t happen, they think the doc was wrong and keep drinking. Nothing happens for a couple years but eventually some medical event will happen and they’re screwed cause they’re body was worn down from the abuse.

Happens a lot with prediabetics. They keep eating high sugar and they reach a point where they need insulin. Once that happens there’s no real turning back the clock.

End stage liver disease
Doc said no more drinking even though mine was not alcohol related (NASH)
Never looked back. It takes a while to adjust at social gatherings where everyone is drinking, but it becomes no big deal.

Yes, especially with a squeeze of lemon or lime.

Yeah, if heart issues are caused by extra weight along with excess drinking, it's probably time to change course.

I will say it seems so e doctors are lazy and just blame anything on alcohol intake depending on their beliefs. I switched GPs a few years ago because he was sure that my elevated bp was due to me having a few drinks a month. When I saw the new doctor, I asked him about some bp medicine and he told me to make some certain adjustments to my diet and 3 months later my bo numbers were normal while I still had my few drinks a month.

No one trusts anyone that can't have a drink.

Probably over half the doctors are overweight and drink a lot themselves.

I was told to quit drinking multiple times by doctors. I didn't listen. Now I have a liver that's 5 years younger than the rest of me.

I drank Neuro Bliss, kept fizzy water on hand, exercised strenuously daily for the first week, took sleeping aids for the first month. For me it was the routine of it and also using it to relieve stress. So instead of grabbing some drinks, I'll do something as simple as walking before I head home.

Yeah, my 67th birthday last week. It's all downhill from here and I don't drink. But come on man, you know the drink ain't good for you. Leads to a fatty liver and premature death. You have a higher chance of cancer now.
