The gym de-stresses.

Seems like a pretty beneficial relationship.

I've owned my own business for the better part of 20 years.. I'm not sure I know what an actual vacation is at this point..

My vacations generally include 10-20 miles of hiking, so I guess you could say I do exercise on vacation.

If it is an adventure vacation where we are doing a lot of hiking, biking, SCUBA, snorkeling, skiing, kayaking, and the like we never go near the fitness center. If it is a eating, shopping, site seeing vacation we usually get 30-40 mins of time on the stationary bike or maybe a 3-4 mile run in (if there is a really nice place to run) before we start the day. It gets the juices flowing and helps us enjoy three nice meals a day. We never lift on vacation.

So you're already de-stressed from the vacation but you want to be extra de-stressed? To each his own.

Absolutely, whole family does if facilities are available. Of course the teen boys will hit slag weights for a couple of hours if left on their own. Then we eat whatever and the adults can get honkin sloshed wo guilt and look good while doing so.

Work hard play hard.

Depends on the location. A crappy hotel gym in NYC the size of room, will just go for a 15-20 minute walk in the morning and get a bagel.

Most AI's in the Carribean have decent gyms, some are actually amazing facilities. When there workout maybe every other day, usual routine is up for sunrise on the beach, claim a good beach spot for the family, then cup of coffee and relax outside on the room balcony/patio, then a quick 30 minute workout before meeting family for breakfast around 8:30/9 am.

I spend more time working out while on vacation rather than spending quality time with my family and friends.
