$550 pair of prescription z87.1 rated polarized Wiley X sun glasses. I have one bad eye and protect my eyes at any cost now
So, yes I wear them on the boat, working at deer camp, yard work, and on beach but not just driving.

How fat do you have to be for sunglass straps not to fit behind your ears

No. My $20 polarized glasses from Amazon stayed on my face after getting dumped arse over tea kettle in the river by themselves.

I have something similar. I don't care what you think. I have prescription sunglasses so I would like to keep them to see.

Same.
Just bought a prescription pair also.$$$.
I use a leather strap from Randolph Engineering. Really comfortable and secure.

When hiking absolutely on my sunglasses, to see the sights not through sunglasses, when they slip if I slip, to remove them when it's cloudy or rain comes up, or to remove them to wipe sweat off my brow.

For those asking what they are still:
To answer the question, no. I had some several years ago and found them uncomfortable. I wear cheap Shady Rays and am rarely engaged in something that would blow or knock my sunglasses off. If had some expensive prescription sunglasses like some of you describe, I would probably wear something to secure them.
