I have noticed the opposite extreme on some movies that made them hard to watch, such as Hustle with Adam Sandler.

I have long thought the movie studios have dropped the ball on their home video sales.

Make each DVD or streaming purchase available in the original and TV versions where the language / gross violence / nudity, etc are edited out. I've enjoyed many movies only in their TV form and been disappointed when viewing the original.

The studios could potentially double their sales / rentals by people who pass due to all of the above.

No, an adult cursing in front of kids is trashy AF.

No.

Well maybe once in a blue moon if I like hit my thumb with a hammer ror something like that. But even then, I'm more apt to say something like "dadgumit" that true profanity.

Yup. I try to limit it and I very rarely let shite or frick (never pussy count dick etc) fly around them but im raising damn good kids. They know better, and they know that kids who cuss are trashy and reflect poorly on their parents. Those black teams were stuck playing cuss at them in 8u 10u etc so thats even more off putting because they dont want to be like those trash kids.

Plus they'd never skip an opportunity to tattle so I was able to correct it when my middle child of 5 fafo'd.

I’ve cut back since my mom moved back with us.

I do not curse at work as much as I used to.

I do, but pretty much never in front of my son (7). Hes older than the kid in that video was and he still thinks things like “stupid” and “shut up” are bad words.

He does know some of the bad words from movies we’ve seen but also knows not to say those. I think we’ve done a pretty good job of preventing that sort of shite with him so far.

You know exactly how he learned to speak that way.

Expletives can have excellent effect if delivered sparingly and as the proper emphasis. I don't mean you should use them like Eddie Murphy in "Raw" . But I don't believe you've had a proper arse chewing if a couple of curse words weren't thrown in. Nothing abusive or egregious. Just for emphasis.
And yes, I curse at my dogs when they do stupid shite. None have yet to be offended.

yea you are a sheltered pussy...frick you

seriously you worked construction and they were not cursing all day? WTF??

I work in an office setting, there and at home I try not to curse very much, but it happens. I definitely dont avoid cursing but nor do i do it on purpose at home.

i will be the first to admit I curse way way too much. its a terrible habit .

People who can’t string together sentences without a steady stream of curse words tend to be low IQ.

Hell no. Only retarded assholes with a limited vocabulary use profanity or ableist slurs.

there is no issue with it - but if you do, as a parent it is your responsibility to teach the child why it is not ok to do it at school and the like. the problem is, most parents these days do not do that, or do that gentle parenting bullshite.

my parents cursed around me, and when I did it i was told not to and explained why, and if i did it again I was disciplined.

has not led me to be a shitty person. I have a good job, and maintain professionalism at work and when meeting with clients. but I was raised to know when it was appropriate to use that language

You better or her bf is going to kick your arse.

Kidding. Couldn’t pass on the joke.

But seriously, have you never observed most parents at places like Wal-Mart? I’ve heard moms and grandmas tell toddlers things like “shut the frick up before I beat the shite out of you”.

I curse around the kids (I shouldn’t) but hearing stuff like that is jarring.

Yes. But husband and I really try to NOT say it in front of the 7 year old. We have been pretty good about it. Every now and then a shite or damn will slip in front of him.

I try to not drop any f-bombs, but there are plenty of damns and shits. My kids know not to talk like that because they're grown-up words and they'll get whooped if they do.

Yes I do. It slips a lot, but even if it didn't, my child knows which words are bad and she surely corrects me. She's 8.

There's a lot more to unpack in this statement rather than just cursing at home lol.
