No. Left the actual town 12 years ago and the area 2 years ago. I miss the town it was when I was growing up. You couldn't pay me to live there now. But, I do miss it. It's reached the point that when I'm home, I hardly recognize it anymore. Every time I go back, there are new things up or going up and old things that are gone. It makes me sad to see but not enough to move back.

Got the hell out of Waskom, Tx at 18 and never looked back.
Looking back, I can hardly believe how trashy that place is.

No...grew up in Baton Rouge, graduated from LSU & lived there until '98 when I moved to Orlando to further my career in radio.
Would I move back? I would in a heartbeat, only thing keeping me from doing so, is there's no opportunity or available time for me to do fishing/outdoor radio back home. After 22+ years it's both my career & my passion/avocation ....I could live in BR or NO easily.

Nope, but if you grew up in slidell, you'd move too.

After New Orleans, I will most probably move back to the Northshore where I went to high school. New Orleans is perfect for a single guy and the NS is perfect for someone starting a family

Nope.
But I think I could retire back there. Hardly anything has changed since I left. Maybe a few more nice homes and shoulders were added to the highway.

No, but I'd move there if I could.

No, thank Christ. Lived there for 10 years as an adult and was miserable. Moved to BR about a year and a half ago and couldn't be happier.

Why would I want to move away from God's country?

I'm about to move back there. Home is home.
