My current yard is small and I just use a push mower, I hate doing it, but refuse to pay for it.

We've got ~5.5 acres of family property that my brother and I used to take turns mowing on a big 72" diesel zero turn. We rented the property out and the tenant cuts it now. I miss going out there and spending a few hours cutting, tunes on some headphones, and a couple beers made for a relaxing time.

Paying someone to cut your grass automatically disqualifies you from being able to complain about inflation or the cost of really anything. If that’s OK, lazy it up.

I cut and weed eat but I have a small yard. I did pay an embarassing amount to have my hedges, crape Myrtles, and mulch/weeds taken care of a couple months ago. It got out of control and I hate doing that shite

I pay someone that comes every Thursday.

I sold my riding mower, and enjoy having the free time on the weekend it affords me.

It would take me 2 -3 hours to do everything normally. I get that time back.

Scruffy finds it cathartic.

A nice cigar, music, and some sunlight.

What’s not to love?

Small yard that is easy with a push mower. Takes about 1.5 hrs.

Mow my own and it’s over 2 acres.

Those of you that pay someone to mow a postage stamp probably bitch the cost of living is too high. Pansies.

I get paid more per hour than it costs to cut my grass. Why would waste my time doing that...

The day after I moved into my house, I got a knock on the door. The gentleman introduced himself and said "I'm the guy who cuts your grass."

Fair enough. He's cheap, does a good job, and I don't have to frick around with it.

When I discovered that time is better spent doing something else I gained back the 2 hours of my life each week for $25 a pop.

Plus my knees are toast and pushing a mower kills them.

Cut my grass and my dad's couple of acres. I enjoy it, listen to some music and relax. I grew up cutting 10 acres with an old International Cub tractor, hated it more then than I do today.

I live in an HOA. Lawncare is included in the monthly HOA dues

My weekly maid and every ten day lawn crew is among the best money I spend. I would cut my budget to the fricking bone before I thought about giving up those two things.

We have a maid that comes every other week and does deep cleaning (toilets, tubs, mops, dusts, etc). Same thing, it would be one of the last cuts from our budget. Just not something I would want to live without at this point.

I do my own lawncare and landscaping, it’s something I enjoy and get fulfillment out of. I get why others don’t, especially this far south in June, July, August. That’s when it’s a chore, not relaxing

I think my lawn looks like an abandoned house after 5 days of not getting cut during the peak of Summer. Especially if we get rain. How are you making it 10 days?

I hired it out for years, got tired of them killing my lawn, doing stupid shite and refusing to bag. I bought ego stuff and do it now. Enjoy it and lawn is spectacular.

I'm 83, and I still cut my own grass. Split wood for my stove.
As that super intelligent Con, Morgan Freeman, said in Shawshank Redemption, Get busy living or get busy dying.
As long as I am physically able, I'm going to keep on keeping on.

You must live on a postage stamp. I bet you can pee on your neighbor's house from inside your house.
