We know our neighbors on all sides and are friends with a couple other families in our neighborhood. Used to hang out at our neighbors house to the east until he attempted to murder his wife. Now we are looking to move.

Know and acknowledge most all in a one block area. Its an thing for sure. We are established 40-60 year olds who appreciate the relationships that come your way if you reach out.

All my neighbors, up and down the block. See them regularly walking around the neighborhood.

yeah, my neighbors are cool as hell... we are all mid 30's, with kids around the same age (6 to 2ish)... the kids all play together, the dads all drink and watch sports together, and the women sit and talk about the dudes together...

Not really. I am the new guy on the block -2 years. on one side I have a widow of a former BR cardiologist, on the other side I have a gay couple.
I don't really know any of them, except in passing, but they keep their property values up through regular home maintenance and home improvements, so I have a favorable opinion of both.

I've met most of mine. Mostly because of my kid though. He's two and we play out front sometimes so we've met neighbors with kids or sometimes he just wants to say hello so I've met some like that. One neighbor is the type that likes to know everyone so I met him the first week we move in. All the neighbors seem pretty cool except for the house right next door. Husband and wife that don't even acknowledge us.

We have lived here 10 months and know everyone on our street and a few families from other blocks. Who says Californians aren’t friendly....

Supper with the Puerto Rican neighbors tonight. Great food and cocktails. Helping the most elderly neighbor tomorrow with a chore.

I lived in a neighborhood in a techy area so all my neighbors were asian. Not only did I never meet them, I never saw them. They didn’t go outside ever.

Yes, I do. All 13 families down the street. Dead end road and I own most on the land around. 
I do have a neighbor next door that is far family member and one kind of cross the street too. Everybody else is more then a 1/4 mile away. Country living at it's best.

I would but my neighbors are rarely outside long enough to start a conversation. Plus our properties are spread out enough that it feels intrusive walking down their driveway to knock on their door simply to bother them with chit chat.

You can't miss them. All of them have a golf cart group riding around the neighborhood drinking
