Taylor: As I said on the phone, I think it's crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign.
That's damning. Let's not forget Trump (publicly) brought China into his political campaign yesterday.
I imagine if Obama did any of this, republicans would mostly distort and ignore it, while blaming a republican congressman for falsifying documents and give Obama a free pass, because impeachment is bad for the country.

Go find the nearest adult and tell them you are lost. I feel sorry for you.

2. make trillions and spend money on other shite that will bankrupt you when the price of oil falls.

General Lee was a decent, honorable, learned and patriotic man in every way. When secession happened, he chose his treasonous state over his country, which makes him a traitor to our country. He should have been hung after the civil war due to the destruction he caused.

The Beatles. It doesn't seem possible a single band made the songs they made in such a short period of time.
re: Why was crime so much higher in the 90s?
Posted by VanCleef on 7/26/19 at 11:04 am
This is the real answer. And the crescendo of Columbian cocaine in the 80's that was potentized to crack, and the gangs who fought to supply this to desperate impoverished addicts, who would commit crime to support their habit.
re: For first time, “no religion” is more common than catholic or evangelical.

Do you have so little regard for integrity and value for your fellow man that you would rape, rob, and murder other people unless you believe in God? If your child was an atheist, would be concerned that they would be a sociopath? What does that say about your parenting?

Thanks for this post and thanks for all of the informed responses. I have wondered this myself in the past. Sorry about the damage to your house, but it could have been much worse, good luck with your claim.

The same as Trump, Russia.
re: Luke Perry dead at 52 due to massive stroke

that's why I think avm. Stokes can kill anyone of any age. its not only an old person's cause of death. it is the 3rd or 4th leading cause of death.
The intracranial pressure of a bleed probably killed him.

He might have had a TIA, or mini stroke. It is a significant predictor for a stroke within 30 days.
He either had bad genes, bad luck or avm.

re: Jimmy Swaggart stories
Posted by VanCleef on 3/4/19 at 11:59 am
I went to LSU with a guy who worked for a close follower of swaggart. He said he was a known cocaine abuser and was an erratic POS who always prosthetelized JS's ministry. He said he was always in the front row of the tv broadcast sweating and overly enthusiastic. Thank Jesus for cocaine! Praise the Lord!
RIP JSM cocaine guy, he died too young he was 44. God bless his soul.

re: Just curious: Are any of you td.com liberals pro-life?

Because I knew this scenario would hit a nerve with the conservatives. Look at my initial post describing a more generalized similar scenario and look at how many downvotes it got.

How could anyone downvote this? I understand y'all have strong tribal political opinions and have visceral hate for people who disagree with you. Imagine if your high school daughter was forcibly raped by a black man, should the law require her to her to make that child your grandson/granddaughter and be a lifelong tribute to your daughter being raped?

If being pro life means the law prohibits all abortions, including life threatening pregnancies and rape pregnancies, then no. I think any decent person would agree with this and therefore is pro-choice.
re: Video from seats of the no-call. Warning: don’t watch it if you have high blood pressure

If the NFL cares about integrity in the game, this year's super bowl winner should be considered invalid. They should also pay Saints players/coaches who have contract bonuses they get from an appearance/ winning a super bowl.
Money should also owed to the saints team and the city for merchandise sales lost due to that terrible call, which deprived them of a super bowl appearance. The entire officiating team should be fired and permanently banned from the NFL. Goddel's lack of action should warrant his termination.
Was this a "dry run" for the NFL's decision to open itself for gambling in the future? Was this call a "see what we can do to swing a game." If so, NFL should be boycotted by all people who care about an honest league.

re: Ancient Antarctic ice sheet collapse could cause a global flood

Visit the NASA website. There are many satellite images from years past comared to today to prove this. I'm sure you have no interest in this, like the flat earthers.
But again you seem as dumb as the flat earthers, anti vaxers, and BLM. You are more concerned with being accepted into a social group (like flat earthers, anti vaxers, BLM) than being correct. Good luck with with your self esteem.

If the ice is on a continent and then enters the ocean, it would cause the ocean to rise. So if your glass was full of water, and put ice in it, it would spill over. I hope you don't think Antarctica is a floating ice cube, but rather a continent that is covered in a massive amount of ice.
When did people's politics or feelings become more important than science? I'm sure you would dismiss the anti-vaxers, flat earthers, BLM, etc. as someone's feelings and politics trumping overwhelming evidence to a contrary conclusion. Why do this with overwhelming global warming evidence? This isn't and shouldn't be a political issue.

re: What would’ve happened if Britain had surrendered in WWII?
Posted by VanCleef on 12/20/18 at 12:19 am
I'm late to this discussion, but that would be my answer. The Soviets certainly had a role on the eastern front, but had the UK abstained from the war, Germany would have probably won.
