Trying to fight the urger of having another vehicle that will barely get used and paying INS on it. 2600/yr total for 2 vehicles now. Hopefully someone will chime in about paying absurd amounts for their kids. Maybe that will make me feel better about another thousand in auto INS.

My third vehicle is a 2022 F250 and it’s probably about $120 a month. I think I pay around $280 or $290 for the 2022 F250 and 2025 X5M comp. Figure the F250 is a little less than the X5.

My Tesla is covered by the company I work for.

I pay $250 a year for insurance on a convertible I don't drive much. Policy requires the car be parked in a locked garage & drive less than 5000 miles a year. Location MS.

When my mother died I put her vehicle in my LLC so my sister would have something to drive when she comes in for a visit.

If I were doing fraudulent shite with my business, I definitely wouldn’t post about it here.

Have 3 but one is owned by my business.

Pay too much for insurance

Same. “Mine” basically sits in the driveway outside of hunting season and vacations, or trips to HD.

Pay just under $415/mo.

Of course there is. You put a random vehicle in your LLC’s name for a non-business purpose.

You do you. Personally, I keep business and personal strictly separate in case of a lawsuit or if the tax man comes knocking.

We have 3 of our vehicles insured with limited miles. There are some companies that have a base rate then pay a fee per mile. When you have more vehicles than divers it is easy to set one as pleasure only. It makes a difference but not as much as a limited mileage policy. Talk to your agent there are lots of options but you may need to change insurance carriers to get the best advantage.

I need to look into this. Any carriers you know that are better at doing this?

We switched our spare that we hardly drive to MileAuto. Every month we have to send a pic of the odometer and only pay based on usage. It's usually about $55.

Even that has been a waste, we kept it around thinking it would be good for kid's first car almost a year from now but by time he has license we'll have paid for 17 extra months or so.

I am single and just own my personal car. It's small. I have seriously thought for a few years just buying a beat up pickup truck and not getting insurance. I do rental property and it would be nice to be able to haul things.

Sounds like a Hagerty-type deal

I've had tons of experience with car insurance.
Hagerty and SF pay claims, at the best shops.
GEICO and Safeco can EAD.

There's another shitty one that I cant recall ATM.

I did get a Hagerty quote but need to see how it works with my umbrella.

We have an ag policy for everything that gets left out there and the ranch hands use. We keep it separate.
