I think it's a great idea to support your local high school team when done so in a constructive way. And by "constructive way" I mean yelling "Suck That Tiger Dick Bitch" at the opposing team and fans.

I mean, if you're gonna be there, you might as well go "big" or go home.

I'll go to couple high school games each fall to support the kids I know when they're playing, and especially to see the bands at halftime. I haven't been to one of my own high school's games since 1987 though. Ain't no way I'm gonna drive nine hours for that.

I know a guy who still goes to girls high school soccer games even though his last daughter graduated several years ago. He even goes to games where neither team is his daughters’ old team. I think it’s weird.
I don’t think that’s weird. When you have kids who grow up playing a sport, you’re invested too. It’s not unusual to still want to keep up with the high school team and go to games even after your kid graduated.

I do now. 25 years removed from High School and now my friends kids are playing, cheering, dancing etc.

So joined the booster club and started attending some events. My daughter will be there in a few years and my kids enjoy going.

Not really, too much bureaucracy with a lot of high school athletics. Time is best spent elsewhere.

I do not, but when I lived on the Valdosta area, people went to Lowndes and Valdosta games like you and I do college and NFL games.

Tailgating, full stadiums, the whole get up

There’s a big rivalry football game I go to every year. There’s thousands of people there. It’s a lot of fun.

I don't live in the burbs or the country anymore, but I would be willing to pony up to adopt some HS football or baseball if I were.

It's not weird to attend the games. It's weird to take it very, very seriously after 40.

No. I went when I was in high school and have brought my soon-to-be high schooler to them.

But I dobt think it's weird. Who cares? I guess as long as the team is good.

I do. My son isn’t in high school anymore, but I love the football and baseball games. I go as often as I can.

I wish the schools around me were better…but I’ve just spent 6 years watching pretty bad football. One of those years we had a baller QB, and that was fun to watch…but I don’t see that happening again.

Next 4-5 years will be college ball…so that should be fun. Lots of traveling on Friday nights.

I think it’s unusual, most people have other things they would rather do, but it’s cool if that’s what they enjoy. I’m sure the players like having a big crowd supporting them!

I enjoy high school football. Some of the games are quite good. There is something very pure about it. The bands are great. The students have fun. Traffic is negligible and I can park on campus. And it doesn't feel like money-culture that has become college athletics.

Is it weird to take college games very seriously 20 years after you graduated?
