why does it bother enough to come and message post and post the question? Wear one if you want, don't wear one if that's what makes you happy. It's no big deal to me to slip a little small piece of paper or cloth over my nose/mouth for a few minutes and I have way more in my life to worry about than who is or isn't wearing a mask.

I don't mind wearing a mask. I honestly just put one on to avoid anyone trying to give me shite. I don't wear one at work all day, so it doesn't bother me to wear one in the grocery store for a few minutes. Now if I forget mine in the truck by accident, I'm not going all the way back to the truck, so you're either going to have to deal with it or give me one in your store if you won't let me shop without one.

No. Because with majority of businesses requiring masks.

I and the majority of people find it is as easier to just comply and put on a stupid mask rather than trying to "fight the power". I don't care to get into a pissing match with employees, the manager, owner, etc every time I wish to enter into a building requiring masks.

Wearing a mask is seriously not a big deal to me. Hell, if anything else I like it as it forces me to be in the grocery store as short as possible because I get tired of my glasses fogging up.

Protect me! I'm high risk!

Protect yourself, you are not my responsibility. But it seems the country doesn't feel the same so here we are. Ughhhhhh

i imagine there are other policies in play which are much more impactful than the mask mandate

since we don't really have comparable policies, it's not comparable ot us

Umm the NIH has said that cloth masks reduce the spread of droplets that cause most Covid contractions

Why did they say the opposite in 2015?

Are you saying they were lying then and cannot be trusted ever?

Too stupid too know what they are talking about?

The material cloth masks are made out of changed within 5 years?

Nowhere in my post did I talk about you or others who don't want to wear a mask being forced to wear one. The topic is intended to criticize those who voluntarily choose to wear one, and I was responding to that.

Reading comprehension is an an important but dying skill.

If you don't like masks and don't believe the research and wish to take your chances yourself, go ahead; but businesses also have a right to not let you in.

There is this false dichotomy being preached on this board and throughout the country where you either have to be FOR masks or AGAINST masks. However, you can also think for yourself and be for masks in some situations and against masks in others.

so what?
I tried wearing one years ago when i'd cut the grass b/c i'd sneeze 100 times while cutting the grass. Turns out, i'd rather sneeze 100 times as opposed to wearing the mask and not sneezing.
It's not political with me. If Trump said everyone should wear a mask and he really got behind it a lot, i'd tell him to frick off.
They are uncomfortable, and pointless. Worry about yourself and quit worrying about me. I will respect any businesses wishes to make me wear one. I'll either not go in their business, or i'll suck it up and wear it if necessary. More often than not, i will politely leave and not shop there.

Even though your name implies you’re just a child, you’re still obese so you need to be wearing as mask as you have a co-morbidity that puts you at risk for hospitalization and/or death.

You are correct about cloth masks in a medical setting. It's different in a community setting.

I wear mine all the time doesn’t bother me at all. My mom is in a nursing home , paralyzed on her left side. I go every day after work and sit outside her window hoping soon I can go back in She has been stuck in that room for months, to weak to talk on a phone and can’t hear me through the window. The aides and nurses hardly ever talk to her. Excuse me if I don’t have any sympathy for you having to wear a mask
