Do you cut your own grass, mulch, seed and fertilize your own yard? I do everything for our yard. I feel like I can do it at a third of the cost rather than hire some yard baw to do it.

I do all of it except fertilize. Almost have a full acre here in KC, and the guy that does it charges me about what it would cost for me to purchase the fertilizer so I let him do it.

For the last two years I've paid to have 5 acres mowed and manicured. The kid and his wife have two kids less than three years-old. They need the money, I need the rest.

Well, I say I do it all myself. Unfortunately, I have been traveling a good bit for work lately and, frankly, it is not always getting done. I suppose I need to start paying someone to do it for me.

Sorry for wasting your money, baw.

I'm out of town a lot for work and can't hold to a schedule, plus taking limited family time away to do all that is a bigger waste to me.

My wife and I both do all of the yard work for several reasons. First m father taught me at 10 how to do it and do it right, second no one will do it the way we like it, third my wife enjoys it, four it’s good exercise and fifth yes it is a savings because I would be on the couch if not.

We also take care of a place in the country. I cut 4-5 acres on my zero turn.

I do it myself. It takes me less than an hour to push mow the entire yard. It would cost $60 for lawn service to do it.

Yes

As crazy as it sounds, cutting the grass is somewhat therapeutic for me...

I guess like Forrest Gump...

That’s not work. That’s just fun.

Mowing, edging and all that shite yeah I do it.

I pay someone to pull weeds from the flower bed because it kills my back.

I do everything but cut. I value my time on the weekends more than the $45 every two weeks that I pay.

I use to pay, but eventually lawn services begin to give less fricks and it’s just about how fast they can get it done.
The guy I had kept showing up the day after or day it rained and leaving ruts in my lawn from the riding mower.
I said enough of these assholes.
I do have a friend who keeps my gardens updated. I pay for any helpers he might bring and leave my fridge stocked with beer for him. Works out pretty good.

You aren't a man if you let another man cut your grass.
