Yes, so I can enjoy blowing all my leaves and lawn clippings into my neighbors' yards.

I mow mine, my sister's, and my parents. My dad is old and not in the best health, so I'm repaying them for making sure I need ever had to go without. Doesn't hurt that my mom always has something cooked when I finish their place.

I take my shirt off, pop some headphones in, hop on the zero turn, and mow 4-5 acres. I let the rest get bailed for hay so I don't have to bushhog. They pay me to cut my grass. it's the damnedest thing.

why? In my opinion it’s a waste of money

A lot of the time, I have time to do it. Some of the time I dont. When I dont have the time, I damned sure am not going to have a shabby looking yard and miss a cut. So I pay someone to do it all the time and never have to worry about it. As a bonus, I get more time for family and hobbies.

I do it myself because I enjoy it. It's a couple of hours to myself without the wife and kids.

Grew up despising it. Swore I would never do it as an adult. Paid yard man for several years. Now I actually enjoy it and prefer to do it w my wife.

Yes, and most of the time I enjoy the respite from the office grind.

Just finished tilling and re-seeding a few bad patches this morning.

Done ourselves. He edges more meticulously than any landscaping company could, and takes pride in doing it.

I do everything except fertilizers and herbicides. Things have to be applied at certain times using certain products and I am not good at keeping track of it and always hated doing it. If I had a job where I only worked 40 hours a week, I'd consider doing it myself.

It might be a waste of your money. There are people who have a lot more of it than you do.

Not me, I cut my own yard.

Takes me 5 hours to cut my yard. Itd be prohibitively expensive to pay someone to handle it for me.

Not so subtle I have a big arse yard brag

I don’t have a yard but I’d do it myself if I had a normal sized plot in a neighborhood with a push mower (definitely a selfi propelled one though).

Also I wonder how many people aren’t anti illegal immigration but still hire illegal Mexicans to do their yard work

I do all the yard work myself from flower beds to pressure washing. I enjoy it and was brought up that way. My wife doesn’t like yard work but doesn’t mind the house work. We could hire someone to do both but choose not to. We actually take the money we would be spending on yard and cleaning service we put 1/2 up each month into our savings account and the other 1/2 into vacation/ fun account it really adds up. That’s just us though.
