Yup, ride around on my zero turn drinking beer. 2 hours to mow, 30 mins to weedeat.
No work calling, no wife bickering. Just 2.5 hours of me time.

My definition of being successful is you don't have to do anything even if you are good at it leaving lots of time to do yard work if that's what you like to do.

Our community has a large team of landscapers and gardeners that live on the premises.

The handle all mowing, weed-eataing, gathering leaves and disposing of them, even coming to each of our yards to blow leaves and debris from under our RVs

We maintain our personal array of flowers and plants in our back yard (corner lot). We like our community and our neighbors love our pretty flowers and my rock garden.

Paying someone to do the shite you don’t want to do is never a waste of money. Especially if you can afford it.

No. I pay my estate manager to pay the grounds manager who then pays groundskeepers to do the yard work

I didn't spend 40+ years working my arse off so I could have more time to work in the yard. Let the Messicans handle it, they need to extra money more than I do.

And my moms yard too. Both are about the same size. Self propelled mower, weed eat and blow driveway and carport. Bout the only exercise I get anymore. Takes about an hour for each. Kill ants, spray herbicide and fertilize.

I absolutely do.

I'm having mine done, just the front yard though, for the first time in my life.

By the time you take gross available time and take out rain days, conflicting plans, and flat out not feeling like it, the net is such a small window that it'll start looking bad, esp in the front.

Heck they usually hit it when I'm at work during the weekday. Can't beat the feeling of coming home after a tough day at the office and seeing the lawn squared away.

Add to that it just looks better when the crew with all the right equipment and skill hits it. The price is very reasonable.

So I'm bustin balls, with a lesser end result, and when I could be, and usually am, doing something more important. What kinda sense does that make?

Damn

That was some low T, beta, emo, millennial shite if I’ve ever heard it.

I won’t even quote it, so you’ve got time to edit and regain your composure.

I enjoy yard work. Why pay someone to do something I like?

Nope, I don’t like doing it and if I get a few hours to play in the grass on a weekend, I’m going to have a golf club in my hand.

This. I did all the yard work when I was a kid, only son. Swore I'd never do it as an adult.
This. I’d still mow but I’ve retired from pulling weeds and raking leaves.

Beacause I hate doing yard work and my time is worth more than what it costs to have someone else’s do it.
