I choose to maintain my own yard not because it is easy, but because it is hard.

Half acre of which ~half is house, hardscapes or natural areas.

It’s actually pretty easy (about 1.5 hours) and I’m control of my own schedule so if I need to cut it on a Tuesday before Noon, it gets done.

The only problem is if I have a long Summer trip it can get leggy.

I thought I would do my own yard when I moved into my new place because I enjoy a certain amount of yard work. I do find it to be therapeutic. I actually mowed a couple of times before a crew mowing a neighbors yard approached me. They said they would mow, weedeat, edge, and blow off sidewalks and porches every 2 weeks plus spray for weeds once a month for $100. They start next week.

And people wonder why they have nothing saved for retirement.

That was some low T, beta, emo, millennial shite if I’ve ever heard it.

It's an insignificant offset to my high T status and more based on available time and keeping the front looking nice even I'm unable to (I'm out of town, working late, raining) than anything else like effort or physical effort.

And like I said, I still do everything else including the back yard and all specialty things. It's the smart thing to do.
