I work two jobs and own a business and don’t always have the time. If I’m less of a man because another man cuts my grass, I’ll be okay.

I'm about to do my mom's yard, waiting till 11 so I can drink beer without her giving me hell.
She should just be happy that I came over to mow and stop snooping

The irony is someone who does something because they think not doing it makes them "less of a man" is more insecure than the average fat woman.

No.
And honestly I can't imagine why I waited this long to pay a lawn service.

Dave Ramsey said the average person who does their own yard and cleans their own house could retire 4-6 years earlier if they invest that money that would have been spent on the aforementioned services.

No, it's nice to come home and see everything has been cut and the flower beds landscaped.

Gilberto mowes and edges and does a shitty job with weeds (sprays them instead of pulling them). His crew will also put in new mulch next week
I water the lawn and throw down the fertilizer

Sounds like Dave Ramsey has never had to buy his own lawn equipment and do his own yard work.
It takes me an hour to do what the lawn service can knock out in 15 minutes.

I've got 5 acres of finish cut yard that I keep at 2 inches...so I'm pretty sure with whatever they'd charge me I could probably buy a new zero turn every year. So, yes I do my own yard work. Gives me a solid 3 hours of just cruising, listening to music, thinking time where everything else is drowned out, and space from the others in this house because I'm busy "working hard".

No I don't do anything in my yard
Of course it's cheaper to do yourself

I believe you somehow messed that up because you seem to contradict yourself in the statement.

My wife and I do our own yard work and landscaping. We enjoy it and take pride in our accomplishments. It's not easy however it is great exercise. Gets us out of the house, too. I also maintain my pool. I enjoy it. Also, paying someone to maintain the yard and pool would cost well over $3K a year. I'd rather use that money on a vacation or something for myself.
With that said, I don't believe someone is any less of a man for paying someone to maintain their property. It's a personal choice IMO.

I do mine because I'm too cheap to pay someone to do it. Plus it gives me an excuse to drink beer at noon on Saturday.

I love watching the middle class scrubs on here get bet out of shape over people having a yard guy.

Same here, i pop in my earphones listen to my favorite sports talk shows and just mindlessly get to work. Sometimes it just feels good to get moving outside, break a small sweat, and block out all other noise

How so? He’s saying take the money you would have been paying someone to clean and cut grass and invest it in a growth stock mutual fund.
