The thing Nashville has going for it over Houston, for people who care about such things- is that Nashville for better or worse has it’s own character and is a unique city.. kind of along the lines of a NOLA or an Austin.. whereas, Houston , while it isnt a terrible place to raise a family- it is basically just a generic large city.. there are very few things that differentiate Houston, you could be living & working in Houston and in many ways it would be no different than being in Cleveland or in Indianapolis .. albeit you’d be way more likely to sweat your arse off in Houston.. bottom line for me, if youre talking about interesting places to visit and have a good time, it’s Nashville.. if youre looking to make (ok) money and have ok to good schools, it’s Houston .
