Cook every weekday and eat out on the weekends. It's pretty easy for us though because we live so close to work.

I almost never cook. I added it up the other day, and I spend $1600-1800 a month eating out. I need to start cooking at least during the week.

A decent locally owned place isn’t bad for you.

Mid tier and fast food Chain restaurants are terrible for you though

Eat out. Cheaper for two, imho.

No way. It can be cheaper for one if you don’t utilize leftovers but when I cook even buying the smallest portions available its usually enough for two people.

Meal prep on Sunday and Wednesday. Nice to have all my meals made and portioned out. Don’t have to waste time during the week cooking. I’ve eaten out once in all of April and it was for a Wedding. In May I think there will be 2-3 times we eat out. Once for a graduation and once when we move

Me and the wife eat at Texas Roadhouse every night 6pm sharp. I get the steak tips, she gets the chopped steak and we smell like a stockyard on a Sunday August morning everyday.

Here we 're mating

I much prefer to prepare and eat food that I have processed and cooked because I like to do that. I enjoy cooking and my wife and I are both pretty good at it.
But probably just as much I avoid restaurant food because there's no telling what happened to that food while it was out of my sight and there's really no telling what is actually in it.

Most of the shite people cook at home isn't good for them either. Most people aren’t cooking fried foods every night

Not all restaurants are just fried foods. Any decent chain or local restaurant you can get grilled stuff, or bbq, steaks, etc.

I don't really do leftovers so getting take out or something is often cheaper

I eat in much more because I like cooking and over time I've gotten good enough at it to where I can prepare a meal much better than a restaurant. In fact, when I do eat out I find myself getting a little pissed off at the expense and substandard quality.
