Do you care if your chicken was humanely raised?

Just heard a commercial from a chicken joint about this. My wife's (no pics) people have chicken farms in Arkansas. Chickens are not raised "humanely". I don't care they are delicious.

As long as my Mcchicken sandwich doesn't bite me, I don't care

Humanely? No.
But I care how they are treated and fed. And I care about buying as local as possible.
So I buy from a local farm.

IDK about that - but I remember walking into the barn yard and seeing my grandmother wringing a neck and having chicken for supper.

Nope. I only care if they taste yummy.

Yes, but only cause they usually taste better

And here I thought it wasn't possible for me to hate 'em any more than I already do

the farms I saw have a little shed that is air conditioned to store the dead ones. The driver picks them up and they get credit for the dead ones.

I'm not too caught up in it but those chickens from Iverstine's are the shite.

So many words like "humanely" and "free-range" may not mean what you think they do. Hardly anyone is checking on the farms to verify anything.
Personally I wouldn't care except that the fattened-up birds are really too big for my liking. Free-range does tend to be smaller and taste a little better IMHO.
