Do you believe your spouse is obligated to stay beautiful for you?

"You should love me no matter what"

I think if you care about such things, you should marry someone that thinks similarly.

It's "for better or worse" not for "better or fatter"

Just as much as you shouldn’t let yourself become a fat tub of lard.

Of course

"Letting yourself go" is a sign of some serious issues

Selfishness
Lack of self-control
Laziness

I’d argue, depending on the extent, that it’s a sign of unfaithfulness

I think we both have a responsibility to stay physically fit and take care of our bodies.

Not only to each other to keep attraction there, but also to our children so we live long, healthy lives.

Obligated, not really. But I did expect an unspoken level of mutual respect in that department. I try to look presentable and fit even at my age. Reciprocation shouldn't be a shocker. You know?

Obligated? No, of course not.

Should she? And he? Of course.

My wife is a smokeshow, and she intends on keeping it that way. She nor I will tolerate sleeping with a fat tub of lard who's gonna die early. It's not wise.

She's obligated to stay presentable and clean. And so are you.

She's going to gain a little weight but that's ok. It's part of life. Some battlescars from childbirth. Those battlescars come from carrying your children so let it go.

Yes if she's a good woman she deserves your love and support. Now if the weight gets out of hand on either of you it becomes a health issue and has to be addressed.

I just feel she’s obligated to tell me about previous run-ins with professional athletes.

I believe you have an obligation to be the best you can be with what you have. It is unrealistic to expect your spouse to be looking 20 years old forever or to compare them to OT10s when life has probably given them way more responsibilities and priorities than just their appearance.

I lost a bunch of weight awhile ago and one of the reasons was because I felt my husband deserved a wife in better shape. He never said one word to me about my weight, even told me the other day he has never thought me fat. Which, whatever, I was fat but his approach was the right one.
